The Black Paladins

I listened and watched as Voltron was beung attacked by the Galra ships, but due to my aching head I couldn't move to help.

I concentrated as hard as I could, giving what power I had to the White Lion as Voltron was hit with a powerful beam

"Coran, fire just below oir position." Keith said.

"What?" Coran said in surprise.

"Destroy the rock we're pinned against. Now!"

Coran did as he was told, firing a laser at the rock beneath their feet. The rock exploded letting Voltron get away for a little while.

"Lance, Pidge, I need you to get us some cover." Keith said.

"Right!"

"On it."

The red and green lions fired their lasers as Voltron spun to give a wider range of attack. I poured more power into my Lion from afar, but the farther we got, the more stressful it was to keep our connection.

The Galra ships flew around the blasted chunks of rocks amd began to surround Voltron.

"Who's got eyes on Shiro?" Keith asked, but Voltron was stopped by something tugging on their waist.

The three Galra shot out multiple strings of durable rope and wrapped them around Voltron's waist and pulled them back away from Shiro's ship, throwing them into a large rock behind them.

The paladins groaned from the impact and the Galra ships flew away.

"What just happened?" Pidge asked.

Suddenly, everyone could hear something whirring with power in front of them.

"Is that...?" Pidge trailed off.

As sudden as the sound, something appeared in the sky in front of Shiro's ship.

It was a large purple wormhole.

"A wormhole?" Lance asked in disbelief.

"They're rrying to escape." Keith said.

"Haggar." Allura said with venom, "It has to be Haggar. She must have gained the ability. But how?"

"We can't worry about that now. We have to make sure we get Shiro and Zurine back." Keith said feeling bad about letting me be kidnapped like that again.

"But Shiro's not Shiro anymore." Hunk pointed out.

"I know, but something is wrong with him. The Galra or Lotor have to be behind it. You all know he would never give up on us. Neither would Zurine. We can't give up on them."

Filled with new determination, everyone lifted Voltron into the air and flew towards the wormhole.

Meanwhile, I sat in my seat shaking with fear. The feeling if anger and malice coming from the wormhole was almost too much to bear. Tears fell from my eyes as we neared the entrance.

"This can't be happening." I shakily said, "The Dark One is controlling the entire play of events. I won't let it happen."

"Guys, one of my thrusters is down. Can you compensate?" Keith asked.

"Those beams torched our power core. I've never seen anything like it." Pidge explained.

"We've got maybe 20--" Hunk stopped talking when he saw some extra power rising from the heart of Voltron, "Hold on, make that 30 seconds of over-clocked burn time."

"Where'd that extra power come from?" Lance asked.

"It came from the White Lion. Zurine's helping us from afar." Pidge said.
