I trudge in my slipper-clad feet to my desk and pack up my books I've already finished revising so I'm free for the week end.

Just as I'm about to get into bed, my ring-tone sounds from my dressing-gown pocket. I take it out and I look at the screen, I smile when I read, 'Just Jason is calling you.'

"Whaddup?" I say, jumping on my bed. I lay down on my tummy and grab the magazine from the end of my bed.

"Elizabeth," he says familiarly. "how is it I never saw your beautiful face today?"

I giggle. "Because we don't have Chemistry on Fridays, silly." I say.

"Oh yeah... did you have a good day today?"

"Hmmm, I guess..." I say, flipping through the magazine, but not really reading anything.

"You guess?"

"Well... Jessy's got a date with my brother tomorrow night..."

"Oh," he says. "That explains it."

"Yeah... uh, Jason?"

"Yes Elizabeth?"

My heart melts. I absolutely love the way he says my name.

"Jessy asked if I wanted to come but I said it'd be awkward if it was just the 3 of us, so I was wondering if you don't have anything planned this week end?"

"Uh, yeah I do actually..."

My heart sinks.

"My aunt's dad's brother's cousin's step-sister's mum's daughter's goldfish died and I gotta go to the funeral. Sorry."

I'm quiet for a moment and then I start laughing. "Oh Jason you're such a freak,"

Jason chuckles. "Of course I will come," he says. I can hear the smile in his voice. "It's a date."

I have the sudden urge to drop the phone, jump up and down and squeal into my pillow, but I thankfully resist the urge.

"I can't wait," I say, smiling widely.

"Hey I gotta go, the little monsters are begging for a bed-time story," he says. Now he mentions them, I can hear his little brother and sister giggling and making lots of noise in the background. He hushes them, but they won't stop giggling.

"Aww, I need to meet them one day!" I say.

"They're very hyper at the moment. Maybe you can come round my house and meet them after the cinema tomorrow..." he suggests.

"Sure!" I say, probably before he even finished his sentence. I'm grinning.

Jason chuckles. "OK, well... goodnight, McFury."

I can't believe he still remembers that. I smile.

"Goodnight, Just Jason."
