Me and Jason walk right to the end of the school building, quickly check if no one's around and escape out the back door. We cut across the football field and make our way to the back gates.
"Hey you two, stop right there!"
We both turn around to see Mr. Skinner, standing on the other side of the football pitch, scowling at us.
"Shit!" I hiss.
"RUN!"
Jason grabs my hand and we dart across the pitch towards the gate. We jump on the wired-fence and start climbing. My heart beat races when I can hear Mr. Skinner's footsteps get closer and closer.
"GET BACK HERE, IMMEDIATELY!" he shouts.
I daren't look back, I just keep climbing.
Jason gets to the top first. He takes my hand and pulls me up just before Mr. Skinner can grab my ankle.
"GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW OR I'M CALLING YOUR PARENTS!" he shouts.
Me and Jason jump off the fence and start running across the car park. We run until we can no longer hear Mr. Skinner voice and the school is out of sight.
We both fall to the ground, gasping for air. We're silent for a moment and then we look at each other and burst out laughing.
When I can catch my breath again, I sit up and say, "That was so much fun! I've never done anything like that before."
"Me neither," Jason says, smiling.
We're silent for a few moments more, before Jason says, "So, where'd you wanna go?"
I think about it for a moment. "Somewhere we won't be seen?"
"I know the exact place," Jason says, getting up from the ground and pulling me up with him. "let's go."
