It's eight o'clock by the time we reach Mount Premila summit.

I text Sara that I'll be back a little later than expected as the drive there takes just under an hour.

Jason parks the car and we climb out and walk towards a closed restaurant and gift shop. The place is silent, the only thing breaking the silence is the sound of my wedges click-clacking on the pavement as he leads me along the right-hand side of the building and turns back to point down the hill.

"I can't believe you've lived here for 10 years and you've never been here." Jason says.

"I know... I guess I've never had the time." I say.

Around the front of the summit building there's a tall white obelisk. It would look striking against the blue sky - I make a mental note to remeber to come down here when it's light out to take some photos.

"Wow!" The city below is lit up and sprawled out in front of us. I honestly never thought the views from Mount Premila would be so picturesque.

"Check out the moon!" Jason exclaims.

I turn around and look up to the dark sky and see an enormous yellow disc rising above the dark hills in the east.

"That's incredible," I breathe as Jason straddles a bench seat. I sit next to him and stare up at the moon in silence.

"You can see it moving," he murmurs.

"So you can," I marvel. "It's beautiful."

"I love coming here at night." Jason says quietly, glancing left towards the city lights, sparkling in the chilly haze.

"I'm not surprised, if I'd known this place was so nice I'd have come with you."

Jason looks back at me and smiles. Then he jumps up like he's forgotten something and says, "Wait one second," before walking around the bench and off into the darkness.

I take a deep breath and look back at the view. I try to see if I can spot the cinema from here, but I think it would be impossible.

I hear Jason return minutes later, he's behind me. "Close your eyes," he says. "and don't open them until I say so, OK?"

"OK," I obey and shut my eyes.

I open one eye and Jason hisses, "No peeking!"

A few minutes later, he tells me to open them again and Jason is knelt on the floor in front of me on a blanket that is spread out on the grass. He's also set two plastic plates of sandwiches and crisps and even lit a candle between the plates on a tray. He pats the space beside him, instructing me to sit down.

I sit down on the comfy blanket and admire his setup. He smiles sheepishly when our eyes meet.

"What's this, then?" I ask.

"Just a little something I planned," he says.

I smile at Jason and cross my legs in front of him.

He takes out a bottle of Coke from his backpack of goodies and holds it in front of me, like he was a wine steward. I nod that the year is OK. He unscrews the cap and hands it to me. I sniff it like a wine cork, nod my approval again, and hand it back to him. He pours the Coke in two plastic cups and gives the bigger one to me.

"Thank you,"

"You're welcome miss," he says.

I laugh at our childish sort of game, but still continue to play along. "What's on the menu today?" I ask, before taking a sip of my Coke.
