Adrien is sitting in his room reading the latest post Alya wrote on the Lady Blog.
"Still hoping to find out who she is?" Plagg asks as he stuffs a slice of cheese in his mouth.
"Yeah, I can't get her out of my head," Adrien says throwing himself on his bed.
"It's like me and Camembert," Plagg says.
"Do you think of anything but cheese?" Adrien asks with a smile.
"Sometimes I think about Ladybug's Kwami," Plagg says.
"You know Ladybug's Kwami?" Adrien says sitting up.
"Yes, but I have no clue who her current master is," Plagg lies.
"How do you know Ladybug's Kwami but not know her master?" Adrien asks.
"In the box that holds the Miraculouses there is a spell that stops us from revealing the identity when we are paired with a master."
"So you have no clue who at school is my crush? I mean she has to be a classmate if she knows Chloe," Adrien puts a piece of the puzzle together.
"Nope, sorry," Plagg says as he quickly turns his back on Adrien.
"Well that stinks," Adrien says plopping back down on his bed.
"But, I can tell you this," Plagg turns back around.
Adrien sits back up.
"Ladybug is right, if you know each other's identity Hawk Moth can use one against the other."
"What does that mean?"
"If Hawk Moth finds out that you are Cat Noir he could akumatise you and make you fight Ladybug or akumatise Ladybug to have her fight you."
"I never thought of it that way, but what could make us mad enough that one of us could be akumatised?"
"Well you do get jealous when someone else loves Ladybug and Ladybug hates when she has competition to be leader," Plagg says.
"Maybe you are right, maybe I should stop trying to find out who Ladybug is until we finally defeat Hawk Moth," Adrien says putting all his research in the back of his closet.
"Sorry Adrien but it is what is best for Paris," Plagg says.
"I know," Adrien says closing the door.
There is a knock on the door and Plagg flies to his hiding place between the shirts Adrien is wearing.
"Adrien, your friend Nino is here," Natalie, his assistant, says.
"Thanks Natalie," Adrien says as Nino walks into Adrien's room.
"Dude, we missed you," Nino says as Natalie closes the door.
"I had to practice piano, you know how my dad is," Adrien responds.
"Your dad can be uncool sometimes."
"I know, but it's not like I missed anything. I've had Andre's Ice Cream."
"Dude, you didn't just miss ice cream, Marinette brought macaroons."
"Marinette brought macaroons?"
"Yea, after she passed them out there was one left. When she finished her ice cream she couldn't stop looking at it."
"What do you mean, she couldn't stop looking at it?"
"She had a sad face on, like the saddest I had ever seen. Even more than when Chloe got Alya suspended."
Nino's phone rings, "Alya, what's up?"
Adrien looks down at his ring as he listens to Nino's side of the call.
"What do you mean missing?"
The statement brings Adrien back to reality as he pays more attention to the call.
"Wasn't she supposed to be babysitting?"
Adrien's stomach starts to turn.
"Okay, I'll go look," Nino says before hanging up.
"Who is missing?" Adrien asks.
"Marinette, she was supposed to babysit Manon but she never showed," Nino says with a sigh.
"What?" Adrien says standing up.
"Yea, I gotta go. I'll let you know when we find her," Nino says as he heads out the door.
"Okay, thanks," Adrien says as he sits at his desk.
When he is positive Nino has left Adrien opens his shirt and Plagg flies out.
"What are you going to do?" Plagg asks.
"I'm going to find Marinette," Adrien says as he puts his hand in a fist, "Plagg, claws out."
Adrien transforms into Cat Noir and leaps out the window.
"Help!" a female voice yells catching Cat Noir's ear.
"Marinette," Cat Noir says as he knows that voice anywhere.
"Adrien is mine," another female voice says as she chases Marinette through the streets of Paris.
"Lila?" Cat Noir says as he sees her in the Volpina outfit she wore the first time.
"You should really let the boy decide," Cat Noir says landing between Marinette and Lila.
"Oh Kitty, do you think you can defeat me without your spotted friend?" Volpina taunts.
"Oh, she will be here. I just got here first," Cat Noir says.
Volpina uses her flute and an illusion of balls of yarn falls from the sky.
"Stay focused Cat Noir," Marinette yells.
"You really gotta learn that a true Miraculous holder can't deceive another Miraculous holder," Cat Noir says snapping out of the illusion and running toward Marinette.
"Good Kitty," Marinette says as Cat Noir picks her up.
"So, why is that girl after you?" Cat Noir asks as he runs on the rooftops.
"She sees me as competition, we along with two girls in my school have a crush on the same guy," Marinette explains.
"But why only you?" Cat Noir asks, "Why are you the one she is after?"
"Because she is a liar, the only person who can see through her lies is me. She wants to turn all my friends against me."
"Well with what I witnessed at your birthday party I highly doubt that you will lose any of your friends."
"Thanks," Marinette smiles and lays her head on Cat Noir's chest.
"You'll be safe here," Cat Noir puts Marinette on her feet at the Eiffel Tower.
"Thanks Cat Noir," Marinette says.
"Stay safe," Cat Noir says leaping to the closest rooftop and into the night.
