Talking With A Friend

The bell rings indicating the end of the school day.

"So, what was it you need to talk about?" Nino asks as they walk out of the school.

"The dance, I know who I want to go with but I don't know what she will say and I don't want to hurt anybody," Adrien says looking down at the staircase.

"Let me guess, you want to ask Marinette," Nino says.

"How did you know?"

"Dude, you are so oblivious, you have always had a connection with her."

"I guess I was so busy that I never noticed until she was in danger."

Adrien looks at Kagami walking past them and getting into her car.

"I feel a but coming," Nino says.

"But I don't want to hurt anybody and I certainly don't want to put Marinette in any more danger," Adrien says looking at Marinette who is walking to the bakery.

"Dude, there is truly no way to make everyone happy. I mean Chloe has always had it out for Marinette, ever since kindergarten."

"True, I mean she would totally freak if she saw me with Marinette, but I know how to take care of her. But what about Lila, what if she was lying and still likes me and goes after Marinette again?"

"You're overthinking this dude," Nino says in a chill tone.

"How do I do it? I mean the only time I have actually spent time with her was during practice for the video game competition or trying to hide from crazed fans," Adrien recalls.

"Ask her to study with you. I mean she seems to know a lot about books and it would look good to date the class rep," Nino jokes.

"Haha," Adrien sarcastically laughs.

"Dude, I have known Marinette since kindergarten, she is the kindest person in the world."

"I know, I always carry her lucky charm around with me wherever I go," Adrien says taking out the beaded string.

"Why do you have that disgusting thing?" Chloe asks.

"Because Marinette gave it to me," Adrien says.

"Well it doesn't go with anything, and I have no idea why you would wear or keep anything that she made."

"It's not always how fancy or what the gift is, it's who is giving it," Alya walks over and defends her friend.

"Why don't you go work on your stupid blog," Chloe responds.

"Why don't you step off and realize that Alya and Marinette are more beautiful than you," Nino says defending his girlfriend and friend.

"Whatever, I will always be beautiful," Chloe says before turning around and leaving.

"Wow Nino, you really defended Marinette, I don't think I have ever seen you do that," Alya hugs him.

"There is my ride," Adrien says.

"Call her," Nino yells as Adrien leaves.

Adrien turns around and nods knowing that he means Marinette.
