The three of them walk back to Ms. Bustier's class.
"Well look who finally came to class," Chloe says pointing out that the three of them are late, "what happened did you get so scared you had to run home?"
"Ms. Bourgeois, Mr. Damocles called and informed me that they would be late," Ms. Bustier defends them.
"Well at least I stayed here and helped people calm down," Chloe says.
The three of them roll their eyes as they walk to their seats.
"Alright class, let's turn our attention back to the lesson, can someone tell me what Hugo meant when he wrote 'by making himself a priest he made himself a demon'?" Ms. Bustier asks.
"Ms. Bustier, why are we talking about Hunchback of Notre Dame? I thought we were reading Beauty and the Beast," Adrien says.
"When Marinette said that both stories were similar I thought it was a good idea to show what she meant," the teacher responds.
"What he meant was that he was blinded by his social status and becoming a priest got to his head and it changed him," Marinette says.
"I would never let my social status go to my head," Chloe says.
"Oh yeah, because you don't remind everyone that you're the daughter of the mayor 24/7," Alix says sarcastically.
"I rarely do that," Chloe tries to defend herself.
"Or remind us that you are Queen Bee," Alya says.
Chloe starts to get angry and Marinette is afraid that she will be akumatised.
"Well, I think that we should be respectful to Chloe, I mean after all she is our classmate," Marinette says knowing that with her title everyone will listen to her.
"Thank you Marinette," Ms. Bustier says putting the conversation to an end.
"Why would a priest be so important anyway?" Lila says.
"Because during the French Revolution faith was one of the things that kept people going," Adrien says.
"Now class, it's time for you to go to Ms. Mendeleiev for physics," Ms. Bustier says after the bell rings.
The rest of the school day passes by quickly.
"Do you want some help finishing the dress?" Alix asks.
"That would be great," Marinette accepts the offer.
"You coming too Alya?" Alix asks.
"I can't, I have to pick up my sisters from school."
"Okay, see you tomorrow," Marinette says as her and Alix walk towards the bakery.
"You don't have much to do," Alix says looking at the dress.
"True but that isn't what I need help with," Marinette says sketching a rough idea for the purse.
"What are you working on?" Alix asks walking over to Marinette.
"Adrien said that my regular purse won't look good with my dress but I have to have a purse, that is where I keep Tikki," Marinette responds.
Alix looks at the picture that has two hearts, one at the bottom corner of each side.
"Maybe combine the hearts," Alix says.
"What do you mean?" Marinette asks.
"Like this," Alix says taking a loose leaf piece of paper and a pen to draw the design she has in her mind.
The design has two hearts that are intertwined at the arch.
"What do you think?" Alix asks showing Marinette the finished drawing.
"That looks great, do you have a secret talent we don't know about?"
"No, just came to me and I thought you would like it," Alix says.
"Can you grab me some red and white thread Tikki," Marinette asks her Kwami.
"Alix can you hand me a blank purse over there," Marinette asks pointing to a box that is only purses.
"So, you excited about going to the dance with Adrien?" Alix asks already knowing the answer to the question but wanting to hear it from Marinette.
"Yes, I still can't believe he asked me," Marinette says threading the eye of the needle with red thread.
"Well Mylene is right, you guys have everything between you."
"Do you think that people will realize who we are?" Marinette asks.
"As long as you and Adrien act like a couple in person and just partners as we fight crime you'll be fine," Alix reassures her.
"Thanks," Marinette says.
"Now get working on that purse," Alix says to Marinette giving her the purse.
"Okay," Marinette smiles as she takes the purse and turns back to the sewing machine.
"Be careful Alix, Marinette hasn't finished sewing the sleeves on yet," Tikki says as she sees Alix raise one of the sleeves on her dress.
"I will be careful, I just want to see what Adrien meant by angel sleeves."
"Let me show you," Marinette says.
"Marinette you have to finish your purse," Tikki says.
"I just did," Marinette says as she holds the purse up to show them the outcome.
"Perfect," Alix says.
"Now just give me a second to sew the sleeves on then I will try it on," Marinette says as she takes a needle and starts hand stitching on the dummy.
"Marinette is really good at this," Alix says to Tikki as she watches their friend work.
"She is the best," Tikki says.
Marinette puts the dress on.
"What do you think?" Marinette asks as she slowly turns around.
"Didn't your design have a short dress?" Alix asks.
"Sometimes I draw a short dress just to get an idea of what it would look like," Marinette says.
"Let's see it with the bag," Alix says.
Marinette walks over to the sewing table and grabs the purse to put on.
"That looks much better," Alix says.
Alix's phone dings.
"Everything okay?" Marinette asks.
"Nathaniel just asked me to the dance," Alix responds.
"That's awesome," Marinette says.
"Yea, I have to go get a dress, I will see you tomorrow," Alix says opening the door and rushing down the stairs.
"Alix in a dress, now that is something I have never seen before," Marinette says.
"Well, you will tomorrow," Tikki says.
