"Are you sure about this?" Adrien asks.
"No, but if Alix is Alpha now, then she needs to be close to us at all times. I know it's probably abusing our powers but it's not like I'm trying to do it for personal reasons," Marinette says lying on her bed, video chatting with Adrien.
"You are the one who said we have to act like everything is normal and everyone will get a little suspicious if Ladybug and Cat Noir ask Mr. Damocles to change Alix's locker."
"But what if the watch goes off and she isn't there? We can't just have Tikki and Plagg flying through every single locker, they might get caught."
"Good point," Adrien says.
"And we can't use the same excuse as I did with my mom, Mr. Damocles would ask Ms. Bustier if it is true," Marinette says.
"What if there was a way to get Mr. Damocles to change her locker?"
"What are you thinking?" Marinette asks as she sees Adrien put one of his devious smiles on.
"She said that half the school has been akumatised because of Chloe, maybe we can use that to our advantage," Adrien says.
"What do you have in mind?" Marinette says in an intrigued tone.
"Well, we can tell Mr. Damocles that Alix was Time Breaker and that if Chloe was to make her mad she might be akumatised again."
"But what about everyone else, if we use that then everyone will want to switch lockers," Marinette says.
"Marinette, you are overthinking this," Adrien says.
"True, but you know I'm right," Marinette says.
"I know but we can definitely use it, she was one of the worst villains we have fought, besides when you change something in the past things won't be the same in the present. I could be asking Chloe or Lila to the dance," Adrien says.
"That would be my worst nightmare," Marinette says.
"Mine too, I am actually wondering if I should stay friends with Chloe," Adrien says.
"What do you mean? I thought that you said that she is your oldest friend and can't just leave her," Marinette says.
"You are more important," Adrien says.
Marinette blushes.
"But back to business, we do need to keep Alix by us and it does seem like Alix might turn into Time Breaker if Chloe gets a hold of the pocket watch, not to mention we will have no way of getting help from Bunnyx, so even though I don't like it we might have to use our powers like this," Adrien says.
"Okay, so we go tomorrow afternoon? That way nothing will be suspicious," Marinette says.
"Yep, I have fencing practice anyway," Adrien says looking at his calendar.
"Awesome, see you tomorrow," Marinette says.
"Goodnight Marinette," Adrien says.
"Night," Marinette responds.
Marinette ends the phone call.
"Great job Marinette, you had a full conversation with Adrien without freezing up," Tikki says as she lays next to Marinette.
"Yea, well it's easier to talk to him about homework and hero work than my feelings, even now that I know that he feels the same way, goodnight Tikki," Marinette says laying her head on the pillow.
"Goodnight Marinette," Tikki says closing her eyes.
Marinette's alarm goes off.
"Come on Tikki, it's time for school, we don't want to be late. Adrien and I have to talk to Alix," Marinette says.
"Don't forget the magic macaroons for Barkk," Tikki says as Marinette scrambles to get ready.
"Thanks Tikki, what would I do without you?" Marinette says grabbing a box of magic macaroons.
Marinette makes it to school 20 minutes before class starts, she heads to the courtyard to try and find Adrien and Alix.
"Marinette did you see that there is a new hero?" Alya asks showing Marinette a news report.
"Wow, she is good for a beginner," Marinette says watching the video.
"Yea, I wonder who she is," Alya says taking her phone back.
"Have you seen Adrien, I need to talk to him," Marinette asks.
"Yea, he is over there by Lila," Alya says.
Marinette rudely pulls Adrien away from Lila.
"What was that about?" Adrien asks.
"We need to find Alix, we need to explain more about the special snacks and how they work," Marinette says.
"She is over there having a skating match against Kim," Adrien points where everyone else is gathered.
"And the winner is Kim," Max announces as Kim crosses the finish line.
"Good game Alix," Kim says.
"Yea, I'll get you next time," Alix shakes his hand.
"Alix, we need your help," Marinette says.
"Come with us," Adrien says walking towards the locker room where they know it's safe.
"Close the door," Marinette says to Alix.
"What's going on," Alix says.
"Where is Barkk?" Adrien asks.
"She's right here," Alix says taking her Kwami out of her shirts.
"These are magic macaroons, keep them with you at all times," Marinette says handing Alix a white rectangular box.
"Why?"
"They are special macaroons that can alter a Kwami so that they can change our outfit and powers to fit the environment we are in," Marinette explains.
"I hate transforming," Barkk says.
"Some of them are awesome, they come with skates," Adrien says.
"So like leveling up your character in a video game," Alix says.
"Exactly," Adrien says.
The bell rings and kids start walking into the locker room.
"We need to talk about this later, but for now Barkk needs to hide," Marinette says.
"So you're not mad about everything going on?" Adrien asks.
"Why should I be?" Marinette says opening her locker and grabbing her literature book.
"Because of Lila, she is just talking about you," Adrien says.
"She can talk all she wants," Marinette says.
"Chloe give that back, my dad gave it to me," a voice comes from the other end of the room.
"Uh-oh," Adrien says.
"Well you shouldn't keep some old thing lying around," Chloe says.
"Chloe give it back to her," Marinette says walking over to the other side.
"Stay out of this Dupain-Cheng," Chloe responds to Marinette.
"Give it back Chloe," Adrien says.
"Why? The thing is disgusting it doesn't even go with anything she is wearing," Chloe says.
"Give it to me," Alix says trying to get it out of Chloe's hand.
The pocket watch is taken from Chloe and given to Alix.
"Here you go Alix," Kim says.
"Thanks," Alix says just as the bell rings.
"Are you okay?" Marinette asks Alix as the other students walk out of the locker room.
"Yea, I was about to get really angry," Alix admits.
"Don't, with every Miraculous Hawk Moth can akumatise the more powerful he can get," Adrien says.
"Right, I won't let that happen," Alix says taking a breath.
"Let's get to class," Marinette says.
