Dance Interrupted

"We're sorry Marinette," Nathaniel says as everyone walks over.

"What for?"

"For everything," Mylene says.

"Yea, we should have believed you when you said that Lila was a liar," Kim says.

"It's okay, I'm just glad I didn't lose you guys because that was what she wanted," Marinette explains.

"Adrien we owe you an apology too," Sabrina says.

"Why are you apologizing to him? He chose Marinette over me," Chloe yells at her.

"Because Chloe, we all yelled at him for something he didn't do," Kim responds knowing that Sabrina is a pushover.

"Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous," Chloe says as she stomps away with Sabrina chasing after her.

"It's okay, but you guys really need to remember that I am not that kind of guy," Adrien says.

"We know," Juleka says.

A slow song starts to play.

"Marinette, will you do me the honor," Adrien says standing up and holding his hand out.

Marinette doesn't say anything she just nods, takes his hand, and lets him lead her into the middle of the dance floor.

Adrien puts one hand on her waist and grasps her hand in the other.

"Plagg, where are you going?" Tikki asks.

"I am going to investigate, I have a feeling that this dance will be interrupted," Plagg says.

"Okay, just be careful," Barkk says.

"I'm always careful," Plagg whispers.

Plagg flies out of the gym and uses his hearing to track Lila.

"Yes, I will make sure to break her spirit," Lila says before turning into Manipulator.

"Well, looks like this dance is cut short," Plagg says before flying back to the gym.

When Plagg arrives back in the gym Adrien and Marinette are still dancing. He sees the couple so lost in each other's eyes that he doesn't want to ruin it, so he flies over to Alix who is talking to Nathaniel.

"Lila is akumatised and wants to break Marinette's spirit. Come outside," Plagg says loud enough only for Alix to hear.

"I have to go to the restroom," Alix says as Plagg blends into Alix's dress.

Alix gets to the table where Marinette's purse is, she grabs the purse and walks out of the gym.

"What happened?" Alix asks Plagg when they are safely in the bathroom.

"Lila is akumatised and before she turned into Manipulator she said she was going to crush Marinette's spirit," Plagg explains what he saw.

"If Marinette's spirit gets crushed so does Ladybug's," Tikki says.

"I know that Master Fu said to only change when Ladybug or Cat Noir say so but this is one time where you have to," Barkk says.

"But," Alix protests.

"If Ladybug loses her spirit she will also lose her self confidence and that is the key to successfully defeating Akumas. They feed on negative emotions," Tikki says.

"Okay, Plagg and Tikki go to Adrien and Marinette. I will take care of Manipulator as long as I can," Alix says, "but be careful, stay above the students and close to the walls until you get to them."

"Got it," Tikki says before she and Plagg fly away.

"You ready Barkk?" Alix asks.

"Ready," the Kwami says.

"Plagg, this is no time for your foolishness, you have to stay focused," Tikki says.

"You've got it Sugar Cube," Plagg says as they fly as close to the ceiling as possible.

"Look, there they are," Tikki says as they fly into the gym.

Tikki and Plagg fly over to their masters.

"Alix has your purse," Tikki says.

"Lila turned into Manipulator again, I told Alix so I didn't have to interrupt your dance," Plagg explains.

Manipulator crashes the dance and starts to snap her fingers at the other students making them say things about Marinette.

"Everyone get out of here," Marinette says to those who haven't been manipulated yet.

All the students do as instructed, even Adrien.

"You're not going anywhere, you are the key to my plan," Manipulator says stopping Adrien.

Realizing that Adrien is about to be under the control of Manipulator Plagg quickly takes the Miraculous off Adrien's hand.
