My first day on the job was absolutely amazing, despite my nerves. The whole team were so welcoming and I very quickly felt like I belonged there.

It was nice getting to see Ruby in action on occasion, and spending some of our lunch breaks together was a bonus. We didn't always work the same hours, because Batwoman involved a fair bit of night shoots.

Even though sometimes we felt a bit like ships passing in the night, we made the most of any moments we got together, and our bond was stronger than ever. It had now been two months since I moved to LA, and today was the day that Ruby's Mum was arriving for a visit. I am both excited and nervous as hell. I mean... this woman raised Ruby on her own. So in a way she takes on the role of both mother and father, and I can't help but admire her for that.

We are waiting at the airport for her plane to arrive and as usual I struggle to sit still as my nerves run high.

"Baby... relax. Mum's gonna love you" Ruby smiles as she grabs my hand to stop me from tapping it on the arm rest of the chair.

"It's just... I've never met a girls parents before. Well technically I'd never dated a girl before you" I laugh.

"Just be yourself Baby".

"Well... that usually involves being a nervous stuttering mess.... so sure, yeah. I can manage that".

"You're so adorable" Ruby smiles.

The loud speaker announces the arrival of her flight from Melbourne and we eagerly await for her to disembark the plane. We watch on as people begin to flood into the terminal and then I see a woman excitedly waving in our direction.

I recognise her instantly from pictures Ruby has shown me, and it's not hard to see where Ruby got her looks from. She has the same striking eyes, and the same smile that radiates through to her cheeks.

"Hey Mum" Ruby smiles as she pulls her into a hug. "Mum... this is Maya"

"Maya... it's so nice to finally meet you. Gosh look at you! You're adorable!" She smiled.

"Mrs Langenheim, it's a p-pleasure to meet you" I reply nervously.

"Oh please Sweetie, call me Katia! Bring it in" she grins as she holds her arms out and I give her a hug. "You sure know how to pick them" she smiles at Ruby as she cups my face in her hands, making me blush in response.

"She's pretty damn awesome" Ruby agrees.

Katia is staying with us for two weeks, and in between Ruby and I working, we all spend time together. It's nice to spend time alone with Ruby's Mum and hear about what she was like as a kid, she has so many fantastic stories of her daughter and she is every bit the proud doting mother.

As Katia and I have a quiet drink while we wait for Ruby to come home from filming one night I tell her the story of how we met. How I nearly fell flat on my face in front of Ruby, and how nervous I was, not to mention how sweet Ruby had been with me.

"That is just the cutest thing" she laughs.

"Katia... can I ask you something?"

"Sure Sweetie. Go right ahead".

"I know Ruby and I have only been together for about six months, but I really love her with every bit of my being. And well... I wanted to ask you if I could please have your blessing to ask for your daughters hand in marriage, when the time comes" I say, trying to be as confident as I possibly can.

"I can see in your eyes just how much you love Ruby, and I see that she feels the same way about you. You two are meant for eachother. I'd be proud to call you my daughter in law. You absolutely have my blessing Maya".

"Thank you so much Katia. That means so much to me".

"You are a very loving and respectful woman Maya. I can see why my Ruby fell head over heels for you" she smiles. "To the future" she says as she raises her glass.

"To the future" I grin as I clink my wine glass against hers before taking a sip.

The sound of the door indicates Ruby's arrival and I kiss her cheek as she flops down on the couch next to me a few moments later.

"Good day Babe?"

"Yeah it was great. Tiring. But great".

"Do you want a glass?"

"Just a small one please Baby" she replies with a smile.

We all sit and chat for a while before turning in for the night once we have finished our drinks.

"Goodnight you two" Katia smiles as she heads off to the guest bedroom.

"Night Mum" Ruby replies.

"Come on Babe. Let's get you to bed" I say as I help her to her feet and she groans. "You okay?"

"Yeah, just a little sore. Had some rough action scenes today".

"Want me to give you a massage?"

"I would love that Maya. Does that include a happy ending?" She grins cheekily.

"Oh you want happy ending? That cost you extra" I day putting on a stereotypical and probably racist Asian accent making Ruby laugh hysterically. "I can give you a happy ending if you want Babe" I grin.

"Of course Baby... it's you we are talking about after all. When do I not want you to touch me?"

"This is true" I giggle.

Heading off towards the other end of the house we make our way to the bedroom and I shut the door behind us. Helping Ruby out of her clothes I strip her completely naked and get her to lay face down on the bed.

I grab some cocoa body butter from the bathroom and put a generous amount onto my hands and rub them together, warming the cool cream before beginning to rub it into her skin.

Paying special attention to the areas she feels pain or stiffness, I dig deep with my thumbs to loosen the muscles. The way she is moaning and groaning at my touch has me wet between my thighs already. My hands roam over her body, caressing all her muscles and rubbing away the tension.

"How's that feeling babe?" I ask after I have massaged her all over.

"Much better. Thanks".

"You still want that happy ending? Or are you too sleepy?"

"Mmm I could go a quickie" she laughs.

"Your wish is my command" I whisper in her ear before sliding my hand down her naked body.
