It had been nearly a month since he last saw Midoriya. It was June now, and the days were starting to get hotter. Kirishima and Kaminari had started to avoid Bakugo recently, but that was because he was giving off a much worse 'I will kill you' vibe than usual. He vowed to himself that he would save his friend, but he had no real way of doing it. He couldn't very well get him out of the villain life without him getting arrested. He gave a small sigh, shaking his head. The League of Villains hadn't done anything in the past month, and that fact really concerned him. What was their end game? What was the point of them breaking into U.S.J, helping the reporters into UA, and that explosion in front of the school gate this last time? Why did he see Midoriya at that market place? Bakugo couldn't seem to figure it out.
When school ended that day, Bakugo knew what he wanted to do. He was going to look for Midoriya again. He knew the boy was alive, he knew where the hideout was, but he couldn't seem to remember the way. He had been too preoccupied by his self loathing to keep track of his surroundings when he left that month ago. But he was determined to find it, he needed to talk to Midoriya. So he went home, dropped his stuff off, changed and told his mom he was going to be out for a bit. He was wearing a dark gray hoodie, a pair of jeans and some old sneakers he hadn't worn in a while. The shoes hurt his feet, but they were his only shoes that he could run in, and he knew he would probably have to run away later.
It took him a little longer than he thought it would to find the hideout, but eventually he found himself on familiar streets. It was a little awkward being near it. This was where Midoriya had been staying for so long, and Bakugo was right outside it. He sighed a bit as he glanced around, finding an open window into the bar. He grabbed the ledge, pulled himself up, and landed on something soft. When he glanced around, he realized he was in a bedroom, he had landed on someone's bed. The room was a little bare, there was nothing on the walls and the nothing was really out of the ordinary. He moved to get off the bed and noticed a bookshelf filled with books. As he got closer to it, he realized it was mostly notebooks. Something else caught his eye, two things that were sitting on top of the shelves. It was a mask, and something that look burnt.
"Shit" Bakugo muttered slightly, reaching forward and picking up the mask. The dark mesh over the eyes and the red freckles made him realize that he was in Midoriya's room, and that the burnt looking thing was the notebook that he exploded on that last day April. He quickly sat the mask down and shook his head. He now knew why Midoriya was 'useful' to these villains, these notebooks were filled with details of heroes. Their moves, their weaknesses. Of course the shitty green haired nerd would be the one to advance the League of Villains this way. He glanced to the open bedroom door and crouched down, carefully creeping out and down the hall. He stopped as he heard voices.
"Tomorrow is finally the day, huh?" That girl spoke, the one who said that Midoriya would want to kill him. He brought a hand to his neck as he remembered the quirk canceling collar.
"Indeed" The misty bartender said lightly, cleaning a glass that looked like it was already sparkling. "Best if everyone gets some rest tonight. No more trying and taking any unnecessary baggage"
"Aww Kurogiri don't say it like that! We only wanted to help Deku!" He heard the squeaking of one of the barstools. Obviously the girl was spinning in it. "Isn't That right Dabi?"
"I guess" Dabi shrugged a bit, poking at the stitches on his hand "Anyway, those UA kids aren't gonna know what hit em."
"I know!" Himiko squealed with delight "With Deku's information on all the heroes, we now know All Might's weakness. We can certainly kill him and all those other 'Pro Heroes' too!" Bakugo's eyes widened slightly. All Might's weakness? What did they mean by that? And they were going to do all this tomorrow?
He didn't have any time to process any of the questions he had, someone had grabbed him by his hood and pulled him back into the room his had come in from. He felt his back hit the wall and glanced down to see green eyes staring up at him.
"Kachan" Midoriya's voice was soft, Bakugo wanted to grab ahold of him as soon as he heard it "You can't be here Kachan, I let you go. If they find you, they'll kill you for sure"
"Come with me" The words left Bakugo's mouth before he really thought about it "I'll take you home, I'll take you away from this place"
Midoriya laughed as he responded "You can't take me home, Kachan. I'm a villain. If anyone found out, I'd be arrested on the spot"
"Izuku.." Bakugo whispered, but he was interrupted by a knock on the door. He let out a sigh as he was shoved towards the window. He glanced back to see a sad look in green eyes as he climbed back out the window. A realization dawned on him once his feet hit the ground. Midoriya was feeding information to the villains, and they were going to attack UA tomorrow. All those little attacks and everything was just distraction for the main event. The event where they were going to kill All Might.
