This chapter does take some dialogue from the anime despite being an AU. I'm considering it a spoiler just because it's from a certain scene in the second episode. Enjoy!

Midoriya leaned against a wall, his hood pulled over his head to cover his hair. He glanced to the shop window next to him, seeing his reflection in the glass. He was wearing a black hoodie and a pair of black jeans. Like his hair, his face was covered. The mask he was wearing was white, a smile painted on it in black ink. There was a black mesh in the holes of the eyes, covering his own. The only splash of color he actually had was his shoes and the dots on the mask, painted in the same color as his shoes and made to resemble his freckles. He quickly looked away from his reflection, his eyes going to the bright red shoes on his feet. The shoes he convinced his mom to buy him. He shook his head as he looked back up.

"Help!" A women called, holding her two kids close to her. She was crouched down, her hand covering the bleeding wound of her daughter. Her son was shaking, a doll clutched in his arms. Midoriya clenched his gloved hands into fists, the doll tainted him. "You can't be a hero" said the voice of the person he once looked up to, the person he once aspired to be.

"Hey, Katsudon..." Midoriya said quietly, feeling movement on his shoulder "Fetch." He moved his hand, pointing to the doll. With a flash of green, a bird took off towards the boy. Snatching the doll from his hands, it quickly flew back to Midoriya's position. Taking the toy from his pet, he turned it over in his hands. "All Might" he muttered, carefully grabbing the tuff of golden hair. He pulled the head off the stuffed hero, dropping it to the ground as he heard fighting going on. He stepped over the torn doll, not caring to look back as the stuffing began soaking up water from the puddle it landed in.

Gravel crunched beneath Midoriya's shoes as he moved to take something from his bag. Crouching into the shadows, he watched as some heroes arrived to the scene. A large man made of stone was rampaging. Smashing stalls and taking hostages at a local super market. Of course, this was just a normal day for Midoriya. It's been like this since the day he was brought into the villainous organization. He'd observe the battles between villains and heroes, adding to his collection of notebooks. 'Hero Analysis for the Future' as he called it back in the day. Now it's just labeled as the first two words. He opened the notebook he had, scribbling the things he observed as his mind wandered off.
——
"I want to be the greatest hero, like you...!" Midoriya said as he looked up to All Might, his body tensing up as he saw steam rising from somebody who was standing in All Might's place. It was a small, skinnier version of the greatest hero. "Y-Y-You're deflating...!" He stuttered out. This had to be a fake, there was no way this was All Might. Unfortunately, it was. As the man told him the reason behind this deflation, Midoriya's mind raced. It wasn't until All Might said a certain thing, that he finally understood the situation.

"I cannot simply say, 'you can be a hero without power'." All Might said as Midoriya's heart sank. His body shook as he responded.

"I see..." he said as All Might stood from his sitting position, speaking again.

"If you want to help others," he started "then you can become a police officer." He began walking towards the door as he continued talking "They're often teased because they get villains delivered to their doorstep, but that is also a fine occupation." Midoriya was silent as he listened to All Might talk, the man pausing at the door. "It's not bad to dream. But you have to consider what's realistic, young man." All Might finally left, leaving Midoriya to stare at his feet.

Somehow, the nervous boy had gotten home, despite the new attack of the sludge villain. Midoriya couldn't bring himself to run to the scene like he usually would. He walked past his worried mother without a word, stepping into his room. He looked around him, All Might completely surrounding him. He frowned as his eyebrows furrowed, quickly stepping towards one of the posters and tearing it down. He turned on his heel and pushed the figurines down, doing everything he could to escape his hero. His breathing picked up as looked towards his bag, snatching the burnt notebook and tearing the autograph from its binding.

"Can't be a hero" Midoriya mumbled "Yeah I know that. I was hoping you'd be able to see something in me that I couldn't see" he tore the autograph in half, standing in a destroyed room. He turned and threw the notebook out his open window. "You're supposed to lift me up, not tear me down!" He cried as he plopped down on his bed, covering his face.

"Did you drop this?" A voice asked from his window, causing him to quickly turn to look at the voice. A shadowy purple thing stared at him. It glanced around his room after he managed to give a small nod. "Do you resent the Greatest Hero?" The mist asked. Midoriya hesitated before nodding again. "You can be of use to us. We wish to take down the Hero. You can gain your revenge or whatever it is you seek" it spoke as it dropped the notebook in front of him. Midoriya gripped his hands into fists, realizing this mist was a villain. It took a moment, but Midoriya agreed.

"Alright" the mist spoke "I see this is not the first 'Hero Analysis" you've done, Child. Gather the rest and anything you may wish to bring. This is no longer your home." Midoriya hesitated as he moved off his bed, dumping his school stuff out of his bag and throwing the rest of the notebooks inside. He grabbed something else, to remember his mother, and opened the cage of the bird he rescued so long ago. The bird flew to his shoulder as purple mist surrounded him.
——
"Deku.. Deku" a voice spoke to him, snapping him out of his memory. He turned his head as he noticed purple mist.

"Kurogiri..." Midoriya glanced around, noticing the villain had been apprehended. He let out a slight sigh as he turned to completely face the male.

"The subject has been taken into custody, did you get everything you needed?" Kurogiri asked as Midoriya nodded. "Good. We must leave before they notice us here" he surrounded Midoriya, and just before they warped back to base, the boy noticed a certain red eyed male had made his way to the scene of the crime.
