Chapter 6

Jodee’s P.O.V

We were five minutes from the lake house and I looked at Luke and he looked at me

“Ready fake girlfriend” he asked laughing holding his hand out ready for me to hold it.

“Let’s make this clear if any one of us ends up getting feelings we will tell each other straight up and this won’t ruin our relationship, deal”?

“Deal” he said, Michael pulled up and half of the family were already there. Our hug family haven’t met Mia yet since Michael dated her after the vacation last year. Michael and I got out of the car and everyone ran up to us giving us a hug. Grandma May ran up to us two pinching our cheeks giving us kisses then Michael spoke first.

“Guys I’ve brought a girl with me and her name is Mia so promise you’ll be nice” they all nodded but I knew Grandma wouldn’t be able to handle herself, Mia got out of the car and everyone gasped I’m not saying my brother is ugly he was good looking but it’s strange to say since his my brother but Mia was out of his league but they still made it work.

“Is Sarah here yet”? I asked Grandma

“No she’s not coming until tomorrow something about going to a fashion show but don’t worry she’s still coming”

“Great” I said, I wanted to see her face when I said Luke was my boyfriend and she would be jumping in that lake but I would have to wait until tomorrow. “Anyway family I would like you guys to meet someone” they all gasped again and I shouted Luke’s name, he got out of the car walking over and holding my hand and the family gasped again. “Guys meet Luke my boyfriend and also my best friend since I was five years old”

Grandma ran up to Luke and pinched his cheek and said

“Jodee his so attractive how the hell did you get this one, good job and also his a little cutie”

“You must be Grandma , Jodee’s told me a lot about you”

“That’s good then she must have told you how much I love it when he grandchildren bring their boyfriends or girlfriends” Grandma pulled Luke over to the rest of the family and mum walked up to me and said.

“Seems the family already like him and that’s a good sign”

“Sure is” Mia soon got pulled away from Michael into the family where they were asking Luke and Mia lots of questions. There was the sound of a car beeping, Michael and I turned around seeing who it was we knew it was a employers car, then out jumped the boy I met last summer and he was perfect as ever, his perfect hair was now shaggy blonde hair that made him look even more Australian or Evan Peters. He was walking towards us and Michael said

“Ashton, buddy haven’t seen you in a while”

“You too bud, how’s life been”?

“Pretty good” Ashton looked at me making my heart melt

“Hey Jodee” I felt my cheeks burn and couldn’t believe he remembered my name and it got worse when he winked at me.

“Hey…Hi Ashton” I noticed Michael rolling his eyes because last year he knew about my little summer crush on Ashton and how much time we spent together.

“So good to see your family back again, hopefully we can hang out again but I had to come because my boss told me to tell all the family’s that there is a party tonight at the club so dress nicely and I’ll see you guys later” Ashton was about to walk away until he looked at me again smirking and winking at me “I hope to see you there Jodee, bye”

“Bye Ashton” Ashton said goodbye to Michael and got back in his car driving away.

“Bye Ashton” Michael said making fun of me, I elbowed him in his ribcage and walked away from him.
