Luke and I were sharing a room together and luckily there were two single beds, I was unpacking my suitcase and so was Luke.
“So who was that guy you were talking to”? The thought of Ashton made my heart flutter so much.
“Ashton Irwin” I told Luke in a dreamy voice
“That’s the guy that you told me about last year”?
“Yep, why do you say it like it’s a bad thing”?
“Jodee, he seems like an asshole”
“But Luke he isn’t, his a sweet kid with a smile that can cure cancer” I heard Luke mutter something under his breath but I ignored it.
“Luke don’t worry about Ashton alright sure I’m going to hang out with him but I will spend lots of time with my best friend slash fake boyfriend”
“Promise”? Luke asked it hurt thinking that Luke thought I was going to ditch him for a guy I have a crush on.
“I promise, now we’ve got a party to go too”
“But I’ve got nothing nice to wear for a country club party” I rolled my eyes putting my clothes on the bed walking over to his suitcase. Luke mostly had shirts he wears all the time and band shirts but then I came across a button up red plaid shirt that I never noticed, I got it out throwing it at him and black skinny jeans along with black shoes.
“Wear that and you should be fine, it’s close enough anyway” Luke left the room to get changed while I put my dress on, it was a simple dress but was good enough for the country club. I did my hair nice enough and grabbed my flats. I heard the door open and Luke’s voice filled the room.
“Do I look okay or wow” I turned around looking Luke who was basically checking me out, I snapped my fingers to get his attention.
“Luke”
“Right sorry you look beautiful Jodee, but how do I look I feel stupid because I never worn this and mum got it for me”
“Luke, you look handsome and I think Grandma will be chatting you up tonight”
“Is that bad or good”? He asked
“It’s a good thing because sometimes it can be hard to impress my grandma but she likes you so play nice”
“Jodee, Luke are you two ready to go were about to leave”? Mia yelled from downstairs
“Coming”! I turned to Luke holding his hand and said “Let’s do this”

We made our way downstairs seeing everyone looking nice, Grandma noticed us and said
“Aw look at you two looking cute as always”
“Thank you mam you’re looking beautiful yourself” Grandma smiled and looked at me
“You better keep this one” I looked at Luke smiling
“Don’t worry I plan too”
“Alright the taxi bus is here now let’s go” we all made our way towards the taxi bus going to the country club.
