As the years went by Jodee and Luke had a big wedding after college enjoying the night with friends and family. Jodee was now an events manager and Luke was a music teacher at the high school with some girls having a crush on Mr. Hemmings. Jodee ended up being pregnant at the age of 27, having a baby girl Luke came up with the name Courtney. When Jodee had days off to look after her daughter, Courtney told her mum that she needs to run into one of dad’s classes announcing she’s pregnant and that’s exactly what Jodee did years later announcing she was pregnant. Luke was teaching a class and Courtney was 9 years old when Jodee was pregnant, Jodee and Courtney walked into the classroom and Luke noticed them walking in.
“What are you guys doing here I’m teaching a class” Luke said, he was happy to see his family but he was working but the students didn’t mind they liked Luke’s wife.
“I’m sorry but I have some news”
“Can’t it wait?”
“Not really”
“Alright what’s going on”? He asked, Jodee grabbed the small box out of the bag handing it Luke. He opened the box and saw a pacifier with a note. He looked up at Jodee still confused.
“Read it”
“Dear Daddy I can’t wait until I finally meet you only 9 more months to go and I’ll be out love your” Luke stop mid-sentence looking up at Jodee smiling and saying the words not looking at the piece of paper. “Love your un born child”
“Awe” the girls in the class said
“We’re having another baby”
“We sure are” Luke pulled Jodee into a hug while the class cheered it was the best moment to enjoy, soon Courtney joined in the family hug and the whole class did as well because they were happy for the family.

Years went by and Courtney was leaving school, Chayce was in primary school and Jodee was pregnant once again. Jodee was sitting on the sofa watching TV, Luke was in the kitchen making his wife food. While Chayce was with his mum watching TV and Courtney was out.
“Mummy” Jodee looked at her son who was smiling at his mum.
“Yes Chayce”?
“Do you think maybe when my baby sister or brother is born, I could maybe name it”
“Sure what names do you have in mind”? Jodee asked trying to sit up
“If it’s a girl Cleo, if it’s a boy Riley” Jodee liked those names
“I like it, so of course we will use those names”
“Promise”
“I promise” suddenly the front door open and Courtney walked in putting her bag down and lying on the other sofa groaning.
“What’s wrong with you”? Jodee asked sitting up
“Isaac is annoying me even though his my best friend gosh he came up with such a stupid idea” Isaac was Calum’s son and since Jodee and Luke were so close with Calum of course they were going to end up as best friends.
“Well honey tell me Isaac’s stupid plan”
“Okay so Isaac told me just then that at his school his basically a loser that’s never going to get a girlfriend and then next thing he comes up with the idea that I should be his idea that’s crazy I mean dating my best friend is crazy, don’t you agree mum”? Chayce laughed a bit because he knew the story about his mum and dad but they never told Courtney since she didn’t ask how they ended up together.
“I don’t know Courtney love can be crazy sometimes” Jodee said smiling to herself
“How can you be so sure”? She asked folding her arms
“Trust me Courtney let’s just say I’ve been in the same position as you and now look at me I’m married to my best friend”
“No that’s not true right”? Courtney said
“Go talk to your father I’m sure he will be glad to hear this” Jodee told her daughter, Courtney got up walking to her dad who was busy preparing food for his pregnant wife.
“Dad”
“Hey how was your day”? Luke asked smiling
“It was great until Isaac suggested that me and him become a fake couple I mean that’s crazy right dad” Luke was smirking while he had his back to his daughter while grabbing plates, he turned around smiling and said
“Maybe his trying to tell you something”
“What that he likes me, it’s strange to date your best friend you’ve known your whole life isn’t it”? Luke shook his head and said
“Take a seat princess” Courtney sat down and Luke took a seat as well
“Your mum and I were best friends since we were five years old, at first your mum didn’t want to date me because it was strange but something happened and now look at us”
“What if I end up falling for my best friend though”? Courtney asked sounding like it was the end of the world, Courtney rested her head on the table and Luke rolled his eyes sitting closer to his daughter.
“You know you sound exactly like your mother when she was your age, but look if you fall for your best friend then you will you can’t stop it sometimes love can be unexpected trust me I would know but if you don’t fall for your best friend it’s fine you just need to stop getting so worked up over this alright” Courtney lifted her head and nodded her head soon giving her dad a hug.
“Thank you dad”
“You’re welcome princess” Luke kissed his daughter on the forehead and Courtney went upstairs calling her best friend telling him she’s sorry for having a go and being dramatic like she always was.

Later that night Jodee was putting Chayce to bed. She tucked him into bed giving him a goodnight kiss on the forehead.
“Mummy” Chayce said
“Yeah”
“Why didn’t you tell Courtney about you and Dad today”? Jodee laughed and said
“Because that story is something your dad likes to tell and I’m sure Dad has told her today so don’t worry about it”
“I hope I get a best friend soon and we fall for each other”
“Well Chayce looks like you will have to wait and find out, now you’ve got school tomorrow goodnight”
“Night mummy” Jodee stood up turning the light off and shutting the door behind her, she walked downstairs seeing Luke sleeping on the sofa, she smiled to herself grabbing the blanket on the other sofa putting it on her husband giving him a kiss on the cheek. Luke was such a great husband and was always there for his wife, Jodee knew she picked the right man to marry and knew he was excited to have other child. Even though at the start they were faking it in the end like every story, movie or fan fiction they ended up falling for each other and there were no regrets. They didn’t care if they’ve been best friends there whole life that was the beauty of romance, your other half isn’t just your lover there also your best friend.
