Chapter 12

The next day it was a girl’s day out and I was not looking forward to it at all because that meant spending the day with Sarah but at least Mia was with us. Mum told me we were going to the country club and I wasn’t looking forward to it and I had to dress nicely and I really didn’t want too but I had no choice because the boys were going fishing. I was doing my hair nicely while fixing my dress, the door opened seeing Luke pop his head in smiling.

“You look beautiful” he said smiling, I turned around looking down at my dress

“Thank you”

“Anyway your mum wanted me to come up to get you to tell you that there ready to go” I rolled my eyes not wanting to go

“So not looking forward to having tea”

“Can’t be that bad” Luke said

“Oh but it is it’s basically having tea with the queen of England that’s how boring it is”

“Hey having tea with the queen would not be boring it would be amazing” I rolled my eyes at Luke walking out the door running downstairs seeing all the girls in their best dresses.

“There you are honey, your dress looks lovely” Aunty May told me, I felt someone wrap an arm around my waist. I looked up to see Luke smiling at me “Thank you for getting her Luke”

“No problem was no trouble”

“Can we just go now I’m hungry” Sarah said

“Alright let’s go, say goodbye to your boyfriend Jodee” Luke gave me a kiss on the cheek and said

“Have fun drinking tea” I elbowed him when everyone left making Luke laugh

“Your pushing your luck Hemmings” but Luke smirked and winked at me

“Have fun honey”

“Sure will sugar plum” I got in the car shutting the door and it was off to the country club.

I jumped out of the taxi bus seeing the posh country club in front of me; it was mostly women that spend the day time away from their kids or husbands enjoying a ladies day. I walked with Mia in the diner taking a seat next to her I knew that I couldn’t get so much food this time because I was with family and in public and had to act like a lady.

“Good evening ladies I will be your waiter today” I knew that voice, I looked up seeing who it was and it was none other than Ashton. I knew I would run into him at some point just not now.

“Ashton” mum said smiling at him; Ashton looked up from his pad and gave us a smile

“Oh hello I didn’t know it was you guys I was waiting for but anyway what would you ladies like”? He asked with a kind smile. Everyone said there orders while I was still looking at the menu trying to pick one that didn’t make me look like a pig but I wanted that cheese burger with a side of chips it was basically calling me. “Jodee” I put my menu down looking at Ashton

“Uh I’ll just have the cheese burger with a side of chips with coke” I said shrugging not giving a damn anymore. I knew mum was giving me a look but she knew deep inside I was exactly like my older brother. 

“I’ll be right back with your drinks” Ashton walked away and Sarah said

“Why do you have to be such a pig seriously, your exactly like your brother” I shrugged sitting back in my chair not giving a fuck what Sarah said, I was just being me.

Later after lunch I was watching the girls playing tennis and I was bored out of my mind, Sarah was too busy on her phone talking to one of her friends this was a moment where I wish my best friend was here so we can talk.
