The moment she stepped in, she was assaulted with seven familiar scents.

She gulped, feeling her throat burn with the thirst for blood. She felt light-headed and weak inside but at the same time, she could feel herself brimming with power.

In all honesty, the girl inside of her- the abused and fearful little girl- was shaking like a leaf, scared for her life. But the new her, the Vampire Queen, won't just idly stand by and do nothing.

The monster inside her was trying to take the reins of her consciousness. It demanded to be let out, to give those bastards what they duly deserve. It was hard fighting for control with Keira, her inner demon, when every part of her body wanted release.

But she controlled herself, she pacified herself into thinking that if Keira could bring them death, she could give them more and that a life worse than death.

She shivered with murderous delight. She couldn't wait. They are going to be very, very surprised to see her alive especially since poor old Jeffrey Fernwood was unable to inform them of my current well-being.

She titled her head which was facing the metallic doors to face Kane who was worriedly gripping her hand in his tightly. Worry etched on his handsome face and she couldn't help but feel a sliver of happiness despite all the other dominant emotions flooding my entire being, namely rage and hatred.

She was happy to have someone beside her, worrying for her, caring for her, and even just being by her side. She did not have this sort of comfort before and so cherished him greatly, more than herself.

"... You may now enter." The balding mutt said.

Turning her attention back to the doors, she lightly squeezed his hand in assurance.

Oh, this was so exciting. Would they react as Fernwood did when he saw me? Like a gaping fish unable to form coherent words... or would they just drop dead in fright?

She could still feel Kane's strong worry and agitation so she decisively broke her mental walls down to let Kane in. Her mind was full of bad thoughts and she didn't want to bombard him with those. She didn't want him to see her in such an ugly state so she tried distancing from him, and even hiding herself from him.

But realizing that she was wrong, that as each other's Beloveds, they had to share joys and sufferings together. She thought that if there was a time Kane was feeling and acting the same way she did now, she would really be worried to death.

Kane was the first one who made a move. He pulled on her hand, gesturing her to follow him and she did. As his Queen and as someone who had unfinished business with the Werewolves, I walked beside Kane with unparalleled grace and uninhibited menace.

The council hall was decorated simply which was consistent with the whole building's design. Nothing but a large oval table with its matching wooden seats stood in the middle of the room and a fancy chandelier hung above the center.

There were five men and two women who already sat clustered at one end and their eyes were solely focused on Kane. Desmonda and Atlas stood on either side of the door, cautious of threats. Khalua followed behind Kane and her.

It was only when Kane grabbed a chair for me to sit on did the seven Elders notice me. They all had shades of brown and blonde hair as per the usual of werewolf features and on our side was black mops of hair except for me who had hair the color of hellfire, burning crimson red. The five Elders who knew me gaped but the other two were looking on with confusion.

Sarah sat on her seat as did Kane. She smiled menacingly at the three men and two women who sanctioned her death when she was still human.

"It's so nice to see you again. Clyde, Martin, Trent, June, and the always beautiful Deena." She bared them her fangs as she sneered at them.
