Hoiiiiii!

I may not be updating too much now as I'm trying to focus more on my amino :'D

I'm so sorry if you actually liked this crap story. Sure, I'll continue it, just not as often.

On to the story!

I was slumped on the counter playing Minecraft when Max walked in. He pushed his thick glasses up on mid nose as he walked to me. I straightened, mining shaft glowing on my phone.
'Hi, Max. What do you want?'

He frowned at my cheery voice. 'My usual.' His voice was low and whispery, sort of like the dead leaves on the floor of the mock Forest in the background of Slender's hideout. He brushed his shaggy wheat coloured hair back from his eyes as he fumbled with his wallet.

He placed his laptop down on the counter with a mumbled "sorry" and rummaged around in his wallet. In his rush, he dropped his wallet onto the floor.
I sighed as I leaned down to pick it up. I handed it to him. 'Seriously, what's wrong with you lately? (y/n) told me you were never like this.'

He flinched. 'You know her?'

I snorted. 'Um, duh. We both work at the bar on 18/2RdeS, no. 65eD? The Metropolis?'

He breathed out shakily and shook his head. 'I gotta go.'

I watched as he swept out of the shop, confuzzled. It was only when he roared past on his sleek black and red motorbike (why does a timid guy like him have a bike?)that I realised that he had left his laptop behind.

My surprised silence was punctured by the cheerful tinkle of the bell and chit-chat from customers.
Then I realised I'd been staring into the invisible future like a deep and shook myself off.

Me, (y/n) and Sarah stared at the laptop. I'd rushed it to the bar after my shift at the cafe was done, and it just so happened that Sarah was there as well to send me something.
After hasty introductions, we closed the bar, kicked everyone out and settled down behind the counter.

Sarah huffed and flicked her scarf away from her bag. 'How long more are we going to wait, BEN?' I fiddled with the edge of the envelope Sarah had sent me while in a errand run, wincing as the paper edge sliced into my finger pad. The drop of crimson fell to the ground as his voice came out from the speakers. Alright, alright! Sheesh. Just lemme... there!

The laptop unlocked, and we were greeted with the most boring desktop ever. The background was grey, and all the icons were lined up and colour-coordinated.

I face palmed at this. 'Really? He's got the latest laptop and this is how he organises his desktop? Wow.'
(y/n), beside me, shrugged. 'Cut him some slack. He's OCD or something. Remind me why we're doing this again?'

'Because... we need something. Besides, what if he keeps his diary in here? Maybe it'll help us to get him back to normal.'
(y/n) nodded. ''K then.'

Sarah cracked her knuckles. 'Let me handle this bit, ladies.'

<timeskip>

We stared at the one file on the laptop left. Sarah had gone through the others, which either were empty or had some weird coded messages in it that (y/n) identified as Morse.
The file was labeled "ehtstoleons".

I looked at it. Then I looked at Sarah. Then I looked at it. Then I looked at (y/n).

'What the fuck is this????' (y/n) shrugged. 'For all we know, this could be from Area 51.'
Sarah frowned. 'Or SCP.'
