Chapter 5: Departure

Mina POV

Bambam says, "Wait, Mina's full name is Myoui Mina?" I scratch my head and say, "It was supposed to be a surprise but I guess you found out early." Jaebum scoffs and walks away while Jennie says, "If you can write this good then why didn't you tell us?" I answer back, "I didn't know I was good. I kept asking for feedback but everyone was too busy to look into my work."

Irene says, "So you go to Seulgi? Out of all people, why her?" I say back, "It was an accident, I ran into her and she told me some tips. She was helping me out." Jihyo says, "Why didn't you ask any of us for help?" I defend myself, "I asked Jimin but he kept ignoring me."

Jaebum comes back with a serious expression on his face then says, "You'll move out tomorrow morning." I reply back taken aback of what he says, "What?" He furrows his eyebrows and says intimidatingly, "We only give housing to those who work here and you don't work here. You work for her. So you're moving out tomorrow, be happy I didn't kick you out today."

Everyone stares at Jaebum shocked at his strict words. Bambam says, "Hyung, don't you think that's too harsh?" This is the first time I heard him use honorifics. Jaebum glares at him and Bambam stays quiet. Jennie then brings him over to talk to him privately. Everyone stays quiet while the two talk.

I can't tell what they're saying but Jaebum raises his voice a few times which scares most of us. Jennie walks out alone and says, "Mina, you have to move out first thing in the morning. Call Seulgi and tell her you're moving into their dorms."

I reply, "But Jennie..." She interrupts me, "Don't try to argue, please." Everyone walks away and it's just Jimin left. I ask him, "Are they actually kicking me out?" Jimin says, "Look, I'll call Rose and tell her to take care of you." I step back and say, "This is your fault." Jimin looks at me in the eyes.

He says, "What?" I say back, "If you just read one of my articles, I wouldn't have asked Seulgi for help then I wouldn't have been kicked out." Jimin brushes his hair back and says, "It's not my fault for doing my job. If you just waited patiently then maybe I would've helped you." I say back quietly, "3 weeks."

He looks at me shocked and said, "What?" I repeat, "3 weeks. I waited 3 whole weeks for you to read 1 article. You can't say I was impatient." Jimin yells back, "WELL, YOU CAN'T BLAME ME FOR BEING BUSY." I say back quietly, "It doesn't take long to read 3 paragraphs." Jimin groans in annoyance and says, "Maybe they should just kick you out."

"What?" He looks back regretting what he said and say, "Mina, I didn't mean that." He doesn't want me here. For some reason, tears formed in my eyes and I take my belongings and leave the apartment building. Jimin keeps calling my name but my emotions blind me and I leave.

I only have little possessions so a duffel bag is enough to carry it all. I go to the cafe I always wrote at and bought more drinks on Jimin's tab. Someone enters the cafe and I pick my head. I see Rose and Seulgi and they see me too. They approach me and Seulgi says, "I heard you needed a place to sleep."

Without me knowing, tears flow down my cheek and the two help me walk towards a taxi cab.

Jimin POV

Dinner is quiet again. But, instead of being exhausted everyone is just scared. Jaebum exploded earlier which is one of the scariest sights in the world. Jihyo, being the brave woman she is, speaks up, "You were too harsh, Jaebum." Jaebum stays quiet and continues eating. Irene then says, "The only people she knows in Korea is us." Jaebum says back, "And Seulgi." Jennie scoffs and leaves the table.

Everyone looks at her leave and Jungkook says, "Did you two fight?" Lisa stands up and goes to Jennie. Jaebum groans and brushes his hair back. Irene then leaves with Lisa while Jihyo heads to the kitchen to wash the dishes. Jaebum groans again and says, "At first, we were talking about the Mina situation. But, we somehow ended up talking about Seulgi then I got defensive."
