Chapter 13: Job Offer

Jihyo POV

I'm lying in the couch with nothing to do. Seulgi and Irene went out to buy supplies for the party tonight. My phone is dry and I lie here watching tv. Daniel has to go to a meeting with some Japanese investors so he left me at the girl's hotel room. Suddenly, the hotel door slams wide open and I hear Wonwoo complain, "We are going to what?" I pick up my head to find an opportunity to find something to do.

Mina tells him, "Come on. Please!!! I want to prepare a picnic basket but I don't know how to cook." Wonwoo replies, "I don't know either. Anyone is better than me."

I join in the conversation, "I can help you out." They both turn to me and Mina smiles brightly then says, "Are you free today Jihyo?" I nod and make my way to the kitchen. Wonwoo asks, "When did you come to Japan? How?" I ask, "What were you planning to cook?" Mina smiles and says, "I wanted to make a lunchbox and some sandwiches."

Wonwoo lies on the couch and watches tv. While preparing the ingredients, Mina asks me, "Have you ever made lunchboxes before?" I smile reminded of a faint memory. I reply, "Yeah." She continues to ask, "Was it for a special person?" I blush lightly and answer, "Yeah."

Mina coos and says, "This is also for a special person. I can't wait, I'm already expecting a good reaction because he loves things like this." I giggle and say, "Who is this special person?" Mina blushes lightly and says, "Jimin." I gasp and say, "Park Jimin? Your coworker Jimin?" She nods and says, "We've known each other for a while and he's been there with me the whole time. Who's your special person?"

I say casually, "Kang Daniel." Mina chokes and goes to the fridge to get a bottle of water. She chugs half the bottle and say, "Kang Daniel? THE Kang Daniel? CEO of Seoul Posts Kang Daniel? One of the youngest CEOs Kang Daniel?" I nod smiling proudly of my boyfriend. Mina starts freaking out and says, "What the fuck." Wonwoo's head suddenly appears and says, "What happened?"

Mina yells, "Jihyo is dating Kang Daniel?" Wonwoo's eyes widen and he exclaims, "Kang Daniel? CEO of Seoul Posts Kang Daniel?" Mina nods vigorously and he says, "I have to tell everyone I know. I work with the girlfriend of the CEO of Seoul Posts. Mina, we're basically famous." Mina runs up to hum and they both jump in circles chanting, "We're famous!"

Wonwoo then turns to me and says, "Kang Daniel just arrived in Japan today. Did you by any chance... ride with him?" I nod and they continue to squeal.

I laugh at the sight. Those two look good together. Suddenly, my phone rings and I look at the notification.

My baby: I just finished work, want me to come over?

...

I look around to see a messy hotel room and two children yelling out loud. Mina looks at me and says, "What's that? Did Kang Daniel text you?" I nod and she squeals, "You can go if you want. I don't mind. Wonwoo is here anyway."

Before I get to answer, they shove me out of the kitchen and I reply to Daniel.

Shorty: Let's go your place.

My baby: Yes ma'am.

...

I make way towards Daniel's hotel room, which is significantly bigger than ours. I arrive around the same time he does and we greet each other outside.

I make it inside and he changes into more casual clothes. I wait for him on the couch and he jumps next to me.

Daniel asks, "What do you want to watch?" I think for a while and say, "Anything is fine." He puts a random show on Netflix and puts his arm around my shoulder. He asks, "How was your day?" I answer back lazily, "Boring, I wasn't doing anything until you called." He complains, "Aww, you should've told me. I would have skipped work today." I slap him lightly and say, "Don't skip work."

Daniel jokes, "Why? What are they going to do, fire me?" I slap his arm because although he is humble about his position in the company, he still makes small jokes about it.

Daniel says, "We're in Japan for a few days. Want to explore later?" I shake my head and he says, "We can cuddle back at home, we should travel to different places. I've always wanted to travel to exotic locations with my significant other." I bury my head into his shoulder and he says, "But I'm not against cuddling."

He then caresses my hair and says, "It's been a while since you've been working at that blog. Have you thought about my offer?"

I answer back, "I can't accept that. It'll look like you hired me just because I am your girlfriend." He reassures me, "If anyone says anything, I can just fire them." I reply back after a small chuckle, "That's abuse of power. Plus, what would the media think." Daniel whispers in my ear, "Shorty, I am the media."

Shivers are sent down my spine as his breath hits my ear. He then says, "And if you don't want to accept it because I'm your boyfriend. Then maybe, we can bre-" I glare hit and he pauses realizing he almost fucked up. He bows his head and says, "Sorry, I wasn't thinking." I stay silent and I can tell he gets more scared.

Daniel tries changing the subject and says, "Wow this show is really interesting. I can't believe we never watched this before." His face turns to the tv and small smirk forms on his face. I look towards the tv and there's a sex scene on it. I slap his face and say, "Pervert! I'm going home." He holds my wrist and says, "Why? I just figured out what we are going to do for the rest of the night."

I blush and slowly succumb to his strength. Then it hit me, I reply, "We can't. There's a party at my hotel rooftop tonight. I told Jennie I would be there." He frowns in disappointment and says, "Just skip it, it's more fun here." I then sigh and say, "I'm going to the party, you can join if you want." He groans and says, "What time do we have to be there?" I look at my phone and say, "In an hour." Another smirk forms and he says, "That's plenty of time."

I reply, "For wha-" He suddenly tugs my arm making my fall on top of him on his couch. He whispers, "Relax, shorty. We've done it in under an hour before."
