Author POV
Jimin wakes up after a 6 hour long nap, making up for the night he stayed up. He hears laughing and giggling coming from the door which makes him sigh. He thinks to himself, "They're back." Jimin stands up from the couch and approach the two.
Jimin asks, "So how was your date?" Wonwoo stayed quiet while Mina did the opposite, "It was perfect. Look we got this caricature and we took a bunch of pictures." Jimin glares at the drawing then back at Wonwoo who wears a smirk on his face. She continues, "We finished everything so we're done for the trip."
Wonwoo stretches his arms and says, "Perfect, now I can relax." Mina then moves next to Jimin and says, "I change my answer." Wonwoo leaves the two alone and Jimin questions, "What?" Mina frowns and says, "Remember when you asked me out and I said no? Well, I want to change my answer."
He raises and eyebrow and she says, "Yes, I would love to go on a date with you." She whispers in his ear and says, "Get ready, I found a great place for dinner."
Jimin prepares in a hurry for he stayed up all night for this date. Mina dresses casually but not too casually. She holds out her hand and Jimin holds it while being dragged.
Jimin asks, "Where are we going?" Mina looks back at him and says, "It's a surprise but expect to stay up late." His mind started imagining different scenarios and he starts to expect anything. However once they arrived at their location, his mind went blank.
He had just been blindsided by Mina's date idea and is starting to sweat. Mina let's go of his hand and turns to him. With a bright smile and jazz hands, Mina says, "Picnic under the eclipse!" Jimin mutters shocked and a little bit scared, "Eclipse?" She nods brightly with sparkles in her eyes, "It's perfect. I saw an article but I couldn't read it. It's Mina's Eclipse!"
Jimin sighs in relief that she hasn't read it but still worries as something might happen. He's been having small visions of what he thinks is the past. Although, he has no solid memories, he remembers a specific feeling. A feeling of deep seated hate for Mina. He remembers the feeling of despise on her very existence, and this scared him.
He didn't want to hate Mina. He loves Mina but this feeling in the back of his head causes doubts and fear. Jimin thinks to himself, What if there was a reason I hated her? Mina brings him back to earth when she asks, "Jimin are you ok?"
He nods but this answer doesn't satisfy Mina. She says, "Are you sure? Because if you don't like my picnic idea, we can go to a nearby restaurant." Jimin sighs and says, "Can we?" Mina responds in disappointment, "Huh?" Jimin looks into her eyes and says, "Can we just go to a restaurant?"
Mina's heart breaks and she becomes self-conscience. She thinks to herself, Mina, you're so dumb. Of course he wouldn't like a picnic. Why do you have to overcomplicate things. Jimin didn't know he fucked up and only tries to avoid these hateful feelings and distract himself from the knowledge he has obtained. Little did he know, this affected Mina too.
Mina picks up the picnic basket and asks, "So where do you want to eat?" Jimin brings out his phone and searches up a nearby area. He tells her the name and as they walk to the location, he remains silent. Jimin tries to avoid these visions but as the eclipse approaches the more abundant they are. While Mina, beats herself up. She feels as if she failed and that Jimin isn't trying to reciprocate the feelings she gives out. She blames herself for everything, not knowing what Jimin is going through.
Mina thinks to herself, Maybe he's just had a bad day. Wonwoo told you how much he liked you, why would he lie to Wonwoo. Just relax and go with the flow. It didn't go as planned but I'll just give the present after dinner.
