I closed my homework notebook and slid it across my desk. I leaned back and stretched my arms, needing a much earned food break, when someone knocked on my door.

"Ugh, come in," I groaned, not bothering to look up.

"Camella?" Dr. Banner asked.

I immediately sat up. Dr. Banner never came to get me unless there was something wrong.

"Yeah?" I answered.

"We need you right now." He looked slightly worried. "It's about the guy that wanted to kill you."

"Okay, here's what we know," Tony began.

Almost everyone stood around the table while Mr. Stark explained, including Peter. Mr. Stark knew what had happened between us, and he noticed the tension, too.

"These men wearing black face masks have been appearing all over the city, supposedly claiming that their boss wants Camella dead."

I shifted uncomfortably. It was weird having everyone gathered around just because of me.

"After their robberies and thefts, a few have been seen entering this warehouse in an abandoned junkyard on the outskirts of the city." Tony pulled up pictures of the old warehouse. "We think their boss is hiding out in there."

He shrugged his shoulders. "Probably a trap, but whatever. Camella will have at least two people with her at all times. Rogers and Banner, you'll be outside lookout. Thor, Romanoff, Barton, you'll be coming in from the back, or wherever Camella, Parker, and I aren't. We come in as bait, and then hopefully, we distract them long enough for the backup to come in, and we go find the guy."

Tony looked around at everyone. "Sound good? No one can say no; the plan has been made. Go get ready. We leave at sundown."

I stayed back as everyone shuffled out of the room. I managed to see Peter glance at me as he left the room. I felt like I should go say something to him, but he was already gone.

Tony was looking over the plan again. I walked up beside him, hesitating to say something.

"Don't bother asking," he blurted, startling me. He turned around to face me. "The answer is no. I'm not calling off the mission."

"How did you..." I trailed off.

He shrugged nonchalantly. "Educated guess. Now get out. We're leaving soon."

"But—"

"No buts." He pointed to the door. "Out."

I scowled but turned to leave anyway.

"Oh, and you might want to talk to Peter. You're both gonna be with me, and I really don't need a couple of stubborn kids giving each other the silent treatment."

I paused, then continued out of the room.

We were on our way to the warehouse and I still hadn't talked to Peter yet. I planned on doing it after the mission when there wasn't so much on my mind.

We had all been briefed on the plan one more time. I fidgeted with my earpiece. As long as everything went smoothly, we'd be in and out.

"We're here," Tony announces beside me. He, along with Peter and I, slipped through an opening in the wire gate.

As we quietly approached the door they'd been using, Tony checked on everyone.
