how you broke a girl
who felt she could never break?
she thought she could stand through
whatever hardship life threw at her.
and then you left for someone else.
her world was shaken with the now self-defining thoughts—
"i wasn't good enough"
"i wasn't enough"
how could you so easily tell her that
she was your world,
and then find a "new world"
the next day?
how could you use her heart like that,
to exploit what you could get from her?
to see how far you could push things?
how could you hurt someone the way you hurt her
and still dare to smile at her
like everything is FINE ?
