{Silver's POV}

By now we had made it to the bottom, and Edmund looked at me. "Come on, it's only a few more minutes."

He said and I nodded. "A few more minutes." I mumble under my breath as I walked with him.

We carefully walked through the river, and I started to keep walking carefully, and I leapt up quickly the wet walls of the gorge, and I landed up on the top of the other side.

Edmund looked up at me. "Showoff much?" He called up to me, and I was shaking my head. "I'm just a wolf."

I said, and leapt down part of the way, into the gorge again, and reached my arm out, to help him up.

Then Lucy and Susan, and Trumpkin, Peter came up last. Eventually, after I had long since lit a fire, and I was in a doze of sorts, I heard Susan saying my name, and Lucy.

I looked at her. "What is it Susan?" I asked, and she looked at us. "Why do you think I didn't see Aslan?"

She asked, and I looked at her.

"You believe us?" Lucy asked, and Susan just shrugged at her. "Well, we all got across the gorge, in one piece all of us did we not?" She asked. "I don't know. Maybe you didn't really want to?" Lucy said.

"You always knew we'd be coming back here, didn't you?" Susan said and I knew the question was for Lucy.

"I hoped so."

Lucy said, and Susan sighed, and lay on her back. "I finally just got used to the idea of being in England."

Susan said, and Lucy looked at her older sister. "But you're happy to be here, aren't you?" Lucy asked.

"While it lasts." Susan said, and I looked at her, and shook my head, wondering what had happened to them in that year.

"Once a King or Queen of Narnia. Always a King or Queen of Narnia." I said quietly and she looked at me.

I saw Lucy and Susan had fallen asleep, and I stayed awake until the fire had run low.

Lucy was awake, and now I heard her. "Lucy." I whispered, and followed her as she went to look for Aslan.

I followed, and quickly caught up, as we carefully navigated the woods and I waited for our Great Lion to appear.

Then the trees began to move, and I smiled. "Hello old friends." I said, and they smiled, as we walked through.

"Lucy. Silver." The Great Lion's voice seemed to ripple like waves over still water, and we ran through the wood to find him. "Aslan."

I whispered, my voice awed once more. I ran towards him with Lucy, and I began to rub his head.

"Hello Protector. You have grown, as have your charges." Aslan said, and I looked at him.

"Aslan..." I said, and he looked at me, his eyes deep and wise. "You wish to know why I was not there."

He said, and I nodded.

"Ten years after they left, the Telmarines came. I could not hold Cair Paravel against them and our people were slaughtered."

I said, and he looked at me. "I understand dear one. But you must not despair. We will survive."

Aslan said, and rubbed my stomach with his great head. "Where have you been? Why haven't you come to help us?"

Lucy asked, and as we both looked at him, he let out a purr, that was like an sigh for the Great Lion.

"Things will never happen the same way twice, dear ones. Not even in our world of Narnia"

He said and suddenly we were both awake once again, and I looked at her who nodded at me, as a stick cracks.

"Susan! Wake up!"

Lucy whispered. "Huh?" Susan said and she sighes and rolled over again, clearly still asleep.

"Certainly Lu. Whatever you like."

She said, and started to snore again.

"Oh it is so annoying." I said, and Lucy nodded at me. "Correct." She said, and I grabbed Loyalty, and followed her.

I saw that there was a Minotaur, and suddenly Peter grabbed both of us. "I would not attack it. He is now on our side now." I said quietly.

"As of when?" Peter asked me tersely.

"Four hundred years ago." I said, and he sighed. "Fine. But maybe he knows how to find Prince Caspian." I said and he looked at me.

Peter drew his sword, and out of nowhere Caspian was fighting him, and Peter was defenseless.

"Stop!" I shouted, and stood tall, in my human form, next to Lucy.

"Peter!" Susan shouted, or screamed really, as she ran up with Edmund. I stood with three of the four.

Narnians were everywhere, and Peter looked at Prince Caspian.

"Prince Caspian?" He said, and the princeling nodded. "Yes. And who are you?" He asked, and I looked at all of the gathered Narnians. "High King Peter." Caspian said, and Peter nodded. "I believe you called." Peter said, and Caspian nodded.

"Well, yes, but... I thought you'd be older." He said, and I looked at him, and stepped forward.

"As you thought I would be." I said, holding Loyalty in my hand, and the Narnians turned to the four.

As well as I, and knelt, one by one, to us all. "Well if you like, we could come back in a few years..." Peter said.

"No. No, that's all right. You're just... Not what I expected." He said, and I saw him looking at Susan, and I roll my eyes quickly.

"Neither are you." Edmund said coolly, not exactly oblivious to the look on Caspian's face, as he looked and made eyes at his eldest sister.

"A common enemy, unites even the oldest of foes." Trufflehunter said and I looked at the badger.

"Wise words, from a wise badger." I said, and he bowed his head at me, in thanks. "We have anxiously awaited your return, my liege." I smiled at the sound of the familiar small voice.

"Our hearts and swords are at your service." He said, and bowed to Peter, and I smiled. "Hello Reep." I said.

"Well, at least we know some of you can handle a blade." Peter said, and I smiled at the small mouse, who was looking awed, and I allowed him to ride on my shoulder.

"Good, because we are going to need every sword, that we can get."

Peter said, turning to Caspian, who just grunted at him. "Well I suppose you'll be wanting yours back."

Caspian said, and Peter took it back from him, and sheathed it. From there we were all walking back.
