{Silver's POV}

I was on the back of my own horse this time, wearing my ceremonially used cloak once again, as Caspian wore the crown of King.

I rode alongside Edmund who smiled at me, his eyes lighting up brightly, as we all rode through the streets.

I smiled, and Peter looked at me with a nod, and I smiled. "All hail and Long Live King Caspian!"

I shouted with all of the other people,  Narnians or Telmarines alike, as King Caspian took his throne.

I smiled at all of them, as the fireworks went off. I was lying next to Edmund on the grass.

"I did miss you." He said, and I looked at him. "I did miss you as well." I said, and I leaned my head on his shoulder.

I heard a cough, and I looked up to see Caspian standing there. "We are ready, all assembled." He said.

I nodded, and I stood up, and so did Edmund, and Caspian walked away to find Peter and Susan.

"You have to go." I said quietly, as we walked towards the place, where now everyone was gathered.

"I really hoped we didn't. I truly did."

Edmund said, and I looked at him. "I believe you Edmund Pevensie." I said and he looked at me. "Take this."

I said, and pulled out a small necklace, and it had a wolf's head charm on it.

"Silver what is this?" He asked, and I sighed. "Take it to remember this, the place that you were King, should you ever not come back."

I said, and he looked at me, and I felt his arms around me, and realized he was crying.

I shut my eyes, and I felt someone staring. "We're coming Caspian." I said in response to the stare, as we walked into the courtyard.

"Narnia belongs to the Narnians, just as it does to man. Any Telmarines will be welcome to stay and live in peace, are welcome to. But for any of you who wish it, Aslan will return you to the home of our forefathers."

Caspian said.

"It has been generations since we have left Telmar." One of the older men said.

"We are not referring to Telmar. Your ancestors were seafaring brigands." I heard Aslan say, and listened.

"Pirates run aground on an island by chance. There they found a cave, rare chasm, that brought them here from their world. The same world, as our kings and queens."

Aslan said, nodding at Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy. "It is to that island I can return you. It is a good place, for any who wish to make a new start."

He said.

"I will go. I will accept the offer." I looked to see the General... Former general, of the Telmarine army.

"We'll go." Peter said. "We will?"

Edmund asked, and I looked at him, and I said nothing, and I dropped on four paws next to Aslan, and whined at them.

"Come on. Our time's up." Peter said, as Edmund looked at me and my nod was clear to anyone, who was seeing this. Peter walked over to Caspian.

"After all, we're not really needed here any more." He said, and handed the sword to Caspian.

"I will look after it until you return."

I heard Caspian say, and I lowered my head in response to it, hiding my tears from what I knew was coming.

"That's just it. We're not coming back." Susan said, and I kept my head down, hiding my tears, until I stood up, and I walked over to them, standing human and Susan hugged me.

I was shaking, and I went to Peter, and hugged him, and I could tell he wanted to cry as well, but he wasn't going to.

"We're not?" Lucy asked, and Peter released me, and walked over to Lucy and nodded.

"You two are. Well, at least I think, that he means you two." Peter said, and I went to stand next to Aslan.

"But why? Did they do something wrong?" Lucy asked, and Aslan shook his head.

"Quite the opposite, dear one."

"But all things have their time. Your brother, and sister have learned, what they can from this world. Now, it is time for them to live in their own."

Aslan said, and Lucy looked devastated for her siblings, and Peter walked over to her.

"It's alright Lu. It's not how I thought it would be... but it's all right. One day, you'll see too. Come on." He said.

They went to say goodbye to everyone they knew and Edmund hugged me as they walked towards the portal again, but Susan turned back, and kissed him, Caspian.

I scrunched up my nose at it, and I laughed out loud when I heard what Lucy said next.

"I'm sure when I'm older I'll understand." She said, and I laughed at her comment.

"I'm older, and I'm not even sure I want to understand." Edmund said, and I laughed at his comment even, all the more harder.

"I really will miss you all." I said, and hugged them all once last time. "Now go. Before I start crying again."

I said, and they smiled, and walked through the portal together, two of them for the final time.

I nodded, and I walked away from the portal, and I walked away, as I felt the pain all too familiar now.

"Silver." Aslan called after me, and I looked at him and he padded after me his magnificent tail swishing behind him.

"I will trust that you will keep our new King as safe as you did with the last ones?"

He asked, and I wiped my eyes quickly, before nodding at him.

"You can count on me Aslan. You know I can do it." I said, and he looks at me.

"You are aware, that after your Protector of the four children's duties have concluded... That you may leave Narnia with them, but that you may never return?"

Aslan said, and I looked at him, and nodded. "I have not decided. But one day, perhaps I will." I said quietly, and I went to my chambers, and there I stayed.
