{Silver's POV}

I saw that it was Edmund on top of one of the highest towers now, and I nodded to him.

He nodded, and aimed his torch, at the gates, and turned it on and off, on and off three times as our signal was, and the Griffins began to fly in.

I was watching, as I defeated a guard in silence taking great care not to give away my position, or to let the guard fall. I saw the army advancing.

Then I also saw Reepicheep leading his own small army. I finally saw that Peter, Caspian, and Susan were all in.

I saw Edmund's torch flickering again, pointing out where the guards were at and I dove at the last guard to fall.

It was the unlucky one who had the courage to point a crossbow, at King Edmund, and I quickly got a slash onto his stomach, then he collapsed.

I watched as the others fought quick fights, that ended within seconds, or maybe minutes at most.

I saw the mice climbing everywhere, and I smiled, as they crept along, and drew their swords until they saw a cat because of course the Telmarines had a thrice damned cat.

"Professor?" I heard Caspian whisper, and I looked at him. "If they found out that he aided you, he might not still be alive." I said.

"I need to find him." He said, and I shook my head. "You don't have time. You need to get the gate open." Peter said, and Caspian looked at him.

"You would not be here without him. And neither would I."

He said, and then Susan looked at Peter. "You and I can deal with Miraz. Silver can help Edmund." She said.

"And I can still get to the gate in time." Caspian said, and the two siblings nod at each other, and looked at him again and he nodded.

Then I heard bodies falling, and I knew Reepicheep was on the move, and I smiled, as Trumpkin waited, and he fired an arrow.

"Ah! We were expecting someone, you know, taller." Reepicheep said, and he snorted. "You're one to talk."

I heard a certain dwarf say. "Is that supposed to be irony?" Reepicheep asked.

"Try to stuff it in Reep. We have got a job to do. After all." I said now holding Loyalty in my right hand, and my dagger of no name in my left.

I had caught up to Susan and Peter, as we made our way to Miraz's bedroom, and I looked at them.

"Caspian, this won't make thing any better for anyone." Susan said.

"We as all of the Telmarines knew that we would have nothing, had we not taken it. Your father knew that. Only as well as anyone else!" Miraz said.

"Caspian!" Peter shouted, as the prince got shot in the arm, and Miraz escaped.

"We have to move! Now!"

I said, and Susan nodded. "Find Edmund." She said, and I nodded, and raced off.

I was leaping out of the open window of his room before I even knew it, and catching onto the side of the tower.

I saw the torch beam, but it wasn't Edmund wielding it. I dove into the courtyard quickly.

But I found Edmund, now fighting the Telmarine, with his torch in hand and I looked at him. "Edmund!"

I shouted, and tossed him my dagger, which he used to quickly disable, the Telmarine.

He gave me the dagger back, and I heard Peter shouting at Susan and Caspian to help him.

"No. We have to retreat now."

I said quietly, feeling horror rip through me, at the thought of how many people who would die.

If we opened those gates now, and didn't leave in time. "Peter fall back! Now!"

I shouted, but he didn't listen, and I looked at Edmund desperately, but he shrugged his shoulders, unable to do anything about it at all.

Suddenly, guards burst out of the door, and I looked at Edmund, who nodded at me.

We drew our swords, and the 6 of them split, 3 going to me, and three going to Edmund, as our troops charged into the courtyard.

I was battling four now, as one had moved to fight me instead, and I was holding them all.

"Now! Ed! Now! Signal the troops!"

Peter shouted, drawing his sword quickly with a clang. "I'm a bit busy, Pete!"

Edmund shouted down, and I knocked his last enemy down into the courtyard, and he looked at me.

"Thanks." He said, and I nodded.

"Now signal the troops, before High King Peter blows a bloody gasket." I said, and he nodded at me.

He pulled out his torch, as I watched his back. The troops ran into the room and Peter unsheathed his sword.

"For Narnia!" He shouted, and ran into the fight along with the troops.

Edmund and I now watched the battle, from above, climbing onto the rooftops. "Archers!"

I heard one of the Telmarines shout loudly, and we both leaped down, and slid quickly, knocking five of them, over between us both.

"Ed! Silver!" Peter shouted, as the rest shot at us. I dove hard shoving Ed into the room, and slamming the door shut with my foot, and he looked at me.

"I knew that I liked you for a reason."

He said, and I looked at him, and I gripped his hand, and helped him up quickly. "Come on. It won't hold."

I said, and he followed me. "Fall back!" I heard Peter scream, and I nodded.

"We need to retreat! Now! Get her out of here! Back to the Gate!" I heard him shouting, and I looked at Edmund.

I saw that one of the Minotaurs was holding up the gate, and I looked over at Edmund, as the Telmarines broke through the torch barrier.

We both let ourselves fall backwards, and right onto the back of a Griffin as one.

I was behind Edmund, as we flew over the battlefield, and I saw that the drawbridge was closing.

Peter had leapt over it, but at a terrible price. Edmund and I looked on in horror, as we flew over it.

The Courtyard was a sea of bodies, most of them our own numbers. "Ed... What did we do?"

I whispered, and he was speechless.

"Caspian was right." I heard him say quietly, as we flew over the courtyard, and the piles of corpses.

I shut my eyes, and leaned on Edmund heavily, now wrapping my arms around his waist.

As tears of shame, grief, and pain now began to fall from my eyes, as we flew to meet up with our army.

Well, what's remaining and left of it anyways, and we flew over Peter, as we did.
