{Silver's POV}

"I don't recognize this way." Susan said, and Peter chuckled. "That's the problem with girls. You can't carry a map in your heads."

Peter said, and I smacked his shoulder. "Ow. I didn't mean you!" He said, rubbing his shoulder.

"That's because our heads have something in them." Lucy said, and I laughed quietly at her words.

Edmund smiled at Lucy's words as well, and Trumpkin looked grumpy as always.

"I wish he'd just listen to the D.L.F. in the first place." Susan said, and I look at her, and dropped back to walk next to Edmund. "You alright Ed?" I asked.

"D.L.F.?" Edmund asked. "Dear Little Friend." Lucy said, and Edmund sighs at his sister's antics.

"Oh, that's not at all supposed to be patronizing, is it?" Trumpkin said, and Edmund and I looked at him.

We both shot him disbelieving looks, before we all continued on, all of us, now following Peter.

"I'm not lost." Peter muttered, and I chuckled. "I'll take a look from above, stand back."

I said, and ran straight up the wall, and leapt up as a wolf, and Trumpkin stepped forward.

"No. You're just going the wrong way. We should have been following Silver, not you."

He said, and I landed next to Peter, growling at Trumpkin as I prowled around him.

"Narnia has changed. It is not their fault Trumpkin." I said. "You last saw Caspian at the Shuddering woods. The quickest way there now, is to cross at the river Rush."

Peter said, his voice now beginning to finally fill up with the old confidence I had seen and known, from all those years ago.

"But unless I'm mistaken, there's no crossing in these parts." Trumpkin's eyes were stubborn, and I sighed.

"That explains it, then. You're  mistaken." Peter said, and I let out a low growl.

"Enough. Let us continue on before we bicker, until we have no energy left to continue."

I said coldly, and Peter led the way again, quicker this time, as if to prove to Trumpkin that he was indeed right.

After we had all walked for a long time through the woods my arm shot out fast, to stop Peter from walking straight into the ravine, where the water was far down below.

"You see, over time, the water erodes the earth's soil, carving deeper into..."

Susan said, and Peter shook his head at her. "Oh, shut up." He said, and she smiled at him.

"Is there a way down?" Edmund asked, and Trumpkin snorted. "Yeah, falling to your death." He said.

"Well, we weren't lost. We were just following the old way." Peter said, and I nodded. "As Aslan taught you."

I said, and he nodded.

"There's a ford near Beruna. How do you feel about swimming?" Trumpkin asked, and I looked at Lucy.

"Please tell me you can swim." I said, and she laughed. "Better then I could before." She said.

"I'd rather that than walking."

Susan said, and followed him.

"Aslan?" I hear Lucy saying. "It's Aslan! It's Aslan over there! Don't you see? He's right..."

Lucy said, and turned, but he was gone. "Do you see him now?" I heard Trumpkin say, and I looked at him.

"Shove it Trumpkin. I saw him too."

I said, and he looked at me.

"I'm not crazy." Lucy and I both said at the same time, and Peter sighed at us.

"I vote we go. We were here once, a very long time ago. You're probably just seeing memories again Lu."

Peter said, as we all walked away again. "I'm sure there are any number of lions in this wood. Just like that bear."

He said, and I looked at him.

"Unbelievable. I think we'd know Aslan when we see him." I said, and shook my head again.

"Unbelievable." I said, and walked away with Lucy. "Look, I'm not about to jump off a cliff after someone who doesn't exist..." Trumpkin said.

"Oh shove it!" I snapped, and turned into my wolf form, and loped ahead of all of the others.

"Nicely done Pete. You've angered our Protector now." Edmund said. "Shut it Ed. She'll come around."

Peter said. "The last time I didn't believe Lucy, I ended up looking pretty stupid."

Edmund said, and I smiled as I loped back to stand next to Edmund. "Why wouldn't I have seen him?"

Peter asked.

"Maybe you weren't looking." Lucy said, and Peter sighed, and looked at us all, including Ed now.

"I'm sorry, Lu." Peter said, and he walked with Susan and Trumpkin, while I followed them quickly with Lucy and Edmund.

I looked up, and heard blades unsheathing. "They're accepting him, they're accepting Prince Caspian."

I said, and Peter looked at me.

"What does that do to you?"

He asked, and I looked at him.

"Nothing to me, that has never not happened to me, happened before." I said, as we continued to walk.

I forced Peter, Lucy, Susan, and Edmund down, as we watched the Telmarines tear down the trees.

"Perhaps this wasn't the best way to come after all." Susan whispered, and I looked at her.

"You're just noticing now?" I whispered harshly, and she looked hurt, but I didn't care anymore.

"Let's go." I said, and I loped along in wolf form back the way we came, as I heard Peter, and the others following me.

"So where exactly do you think you saw Aslan?" Peter asked as we walked back the way, that we came from.

"I wish you'd all stop trying to sound like grown-ups." Lucy said, and I look at her. "I agree. I've lived hell of a lot longer then all of you."

I said, and Peter looked at me.

"Who's side are you on for Aslan's sake?" He asked, and I looked at him, my eyes flashing.

"Do I have to pick one? Or can we all just get along for once?" I asked, and we all stopped.

"I don't think I saw him, I did see him. So did Silver." Lucy said, and I nodded at her. "It was right over..."

And she dropped hard, and screamed quickly. "Here!" She shouted quieter, I saw that she was saying from where she was in a small hollow of dirt.

We began to walk carefully through the side of a cliff and I was holding, my sword nervously.

"You still don't like having rocks over your head." Peter said, and I ignored him, as I continued to walk, and my hand tensed and clenched into a fist.

"Save your breath. Less talking more walking." I said quietly, and walked. I was next to Edmund now.
