The Job No One Wants to Take
"Nova!! Are you sure you don't want this job??" tanong ni Desmond
"I don't." hindi interesadong tugon ni Nova
"Big brother, you don't need to join me on my mission. You can accept higher paying jobs." Saad ni Nixon, ang nakababatang kapatid ni Nova. He's a skilled fighter kaya naman hindi sya nahirapang makapasok sa guild.
"No, I'll go with you." Nova
"How touching." Komento ni Desmond
"Shut up." Nova
"Hehe kung babae ka sana for sure popormahan kita.." saad ni Desmond
Nova glared at him.. "Kung babae ako, di kita papatulan."
"Sungit." Desmond
"Big brother, bakit walang pumapansin sa job offer na yun?" tanong ni Nixon
"That one?" si Desmond ang nagsalita.. "That's an open job, anyone can accept it no matter what class you are. But even Class S Assassins wont dare accept it."
"Why not??" Nixon
"Lahat ng sumubok, hindi na nakabalik ng buhay." Seryosong saad ni Nova
"Why?" Nixon
Nagtataka si Nixon.. Even the highly guarded mansion of a president is not a challenge for the assasssins of the guild. Why is everyone avoiding that job offer??
"It's too dangerous. The target is too dangerous." Paliwanag ni Desmond
Agad syang nacurious kung sino ang target na tinutukoy ni Desmond. Binasa nya ang pangalang nakasulat sa Job Poster at agad naunawaan kung bakit ito mapanganib.
Natahimik si Nixon. He suddenly remembered all the rumours surrounding that name. No wonder everyone is avoiding the job.
"Ehh?" nagtataka si Nixon matapos makita ang isa pang job offer
"What's wrong?" tanong ni Nova
"Someone wants to assassinate Lady Amara? The youngest Grandmaster Alchemist of Thousand Crows??" Nixon
"That's not really surprising. A lot of alchemists are not happy." Desmond
"The person behind the job is.... Anonymous." Curious na binasa ni Nixon ang job offer
"Do you know her?" tanong ni Nova
"She's the person who once saved me. She told me to look for you here." Nixon... Minsan na syang iniligtas ni Amara. Nanghimasok sya noon sa Thousand Crows upang maghanap ng gamot para sa isang kaibigan. Pero nadiskubre sya ng mga guildmembers at hinabol. Noong marating nya ang isang mansion sa tuktok ng isang burol, niyaya syang maglaro ng chess ni Lady Amara. She somehow saved him.
"You shouldn't take this job too personally. But... You don't have to worry about her." Saad ni Desmond
"What do you mean??" Nixon
"No one knows where she is." Desmond
"She's like a ghost. A missing person. She's currently the second most mysterious person on the job list." Desmond
"Guys! Attention please! May mga bago tayong members!" announce ni Darren pagkapasok ng pinto.
May mga guildmembers sila na hindi na nakakabalik sa guild kung kaya naman normal lamang na palaging may new recruits.
"Be nice to these brats. This one is Mar. This one is Aurio." Darren
"Hi guys!" bati ni Aurio
Hindi interesado sina Desmond, Nova at Nixon. Pero agad silang natigilan noong makita ang dalawang new recruits.
