Art one of the very few things Virgil was very good at... ok Virgil was a jack of most trades. Art, math, science, combat, torture, poison. Yeah... a pretty well-rounded individual. However, the problem was the boy standing just behind him as he found a seat. A certain... Princey.
"Like I said. Take a picture... It is art class, you might even get some credit." He could hear the royal dunce groan as he took the seat beside him and Virgil tensed. What was with this guy? The teacher walked in and already Virgil wanted to split. It wasn't that they were mean. No, actually Mr. Sanders seems like a really nice guy. No the reason Virgil wanted to split was the fact that Roman was once again staring. "What are you staring at?!"
"I just don't understand how one person can be so fucking emo and a freak all at one time." Virgil paled as Roman smirked at him. "You're parents must be so proud."
"Actually I'm pretty sure there choking in their graves." Now it was Roman's time to pale as Virgil just laughed, listening to the assignment the teacher was rambling about.
"See... a freak. You could have just said they weren't."
"No princey... I mean they are literally dead." Virgil left the now silent boy as he went to grab a canvas. The assignment was to draw something meaningful but obsure. So obsure that people wont be able to guess what the meaning is. Which... they will be doing at the end of the week. Today was about thinking it over and stuff but he needed to get the canvas to bring home to work on. When he got back to his spot he could see Roman trying hard now to not look at him. It was getting on his nerves. "What the fuck is wrong with you?"
"What is wrong with me? What's wrong with you?"
"A lot." Virgil rolled his eyes as he placed he canvas beside him. "But I'm not the one being weird and staring or avoiding someone. Is this how you are with everyone one or is it just me?"
"Tell me something, Virgil? What is with the white hair?" Roman smirked as if he's being this fucking smart ass and Virgil just stared at him with a neutral expression.
"I told you I was born with it."
"Not possible... those purple eyes two. You look like a freakazoid." Virgil's fist clenched around his pencil as he frowned towards his paper. He was trying to figure out what to do for the assignment but in his anger, all he could see was Roman tied up to a chair. "Considering you're from Washington don't you think its a pretty pathetic cry for attention? Dying your hair white like that. I bet no one believed you could have been..."
"I told you I was born..."
"It's just not possible, Virgil. There is no way..." Virgil's pencil snapped under the pressure of his hand and Roman clammed up.
"You can ask my dead ass parents if you want. They hated it too. I can't change the fact that I was born like this Princey. Why don't you stop being an ass and actually focus on the assignment." Roman's eyes went wide as he watched Virgil turn back to his work. It wasn't like he wanted to stare at that stupid emo. He just couldn't.... there was something about Virgil. He didn't understand it. He wanted to scream. His stupid white hair. His ugly purple eyes and how they nearly glowed when the light hit them just right. Or how eyeliner and smudged eyeshadow made those very purple eye pop against his pale skin like gems... UGLY GEMS...
Roman just stared at the blank paper in front of him but his thoughts were entirely filled with that stupid boy next to him. He should switch classes... or something. This is going to suck if it's going to by this all year.
By the time class ended things hadn't gotten any better for either of them. By the time school ended Roman was seething. Every single class he had after lunch was with Virgil. He just couldn't avoid him. He really did want to scream. Just thinking about him pissed him off. So much in fact he slammed the front door startling Logan and Remus both.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT FUCKING ASSHOLE!" Logan and Remus both shared a look as Roman made his way into the kitchen. "I couldn't even concentrate during Music because he was practically blasting that stupid MCR crap."
"Roman you have listened to some of their songs yourself." Roman literally growled as he grabbed a cola out of the fridge.
"Not the point, Specs." He poured himself some cereal before sitting down to eat with this annoyed look in his eyes. "Virgil's just so fucking annoying. He was blasting his music in music and being a total ass in art."
"Actually I heard from Patton that Virgil said you were being quite rude in art." Logan dodged as an apple got thrown at his head. "Roman, it seems to me like this Virgil is on your mind... a little to much."
"He's annoying. He's the literal embodiment of a dark and stormy night. I hate him."
"Or... you love him." The room went totally silent as Logan sighed and picked up the apple before throwing the wall mangled fruit away. "It wouldn't be the first time you fell head over heels at first glance."
"Um... I'm sorry. I know you don't understand feelings but... I HATE HIM!" Roman grumbled slightly as he stuffed his face with cereal, nearly choking. "Plus you and Remus both know how I am when I fall for someone. The world revolves around them. I make them feel like the very sun would set if they just said the words. I don't treat them like shit."
"Wait you don't?" Everyone just paused as Remus laughed. "I do. In fact, I do far worse." The look in Remus's eyes was actually scary.
"I live with a bunch of psychopaths." Logan sighed as he shook his head. "Regardless, Roman, you just admitted to treating Virgil poorly." Roman didn't respond he just kept eating. "The way I see it is you're so done with heartbreak you're convincing yourself that this feeling you have is hate when it isn't."
"That's not how..."
"It better not be!" Roman flinched at the sudden yelling Logan did. The serious look in his eyes could make anyone guilty over something they didn't even know about let alone did. "Because if you did fall for him, that you NEED to get your act together. I don't want another body... especially after what happened with Jacob." Logan seemed to deflate as he leaned over the counter with a tired frown. "Look. I know, ok? I get that you can't help it. But you have to learn some self-control. If you really have fallen for Virgil... or even if you haven't and you fall for someone else later on. You HAVE to work on your patience and control. Otherwise your just going to keep getting hurt."
"I'm telling Logan... I hate him."
"Well ok then!" Remus giggled as he jumped up onto the counter just barely missing Romans bowl. "Guess you won't care if I invite him to the party later than?"
"I JUST SAID I HATED HIM!"
