You were sitting reading a book in your usual place on the park bench in the sunshine. You were completely engrossed in your book that you hadn't realised the dark clouds that had formed over head. You look up as droplets of water start to drop onto your skin. Shit, you think to yourself as you pull your hood over your head and jog to the shelter; waiting for the shower to pass.
You wait for a couple of minutes before a familiar scent fills your senses. The cologne that you know drives you wild. You turn and see him stood next to you, seeking cover from the rain. You notice a clear droplet of water resting on the end of one of his curls before it trails down his cheek and to the floor. You were truly mesmerised by his perfect features. His cheekbones, strong jaw line and perfect plump lips.
'(Y/n)? It's so nice to see you!' Harry says, breaking you from the trance you were in.
'Hi Harry.' You say, blushing slightly, wondering if he saw you staring.
'How have you been?' He asks.
'Oh fine, thank you. And you?' You reply, your palms sweating. The effect he had on you was crazy.
'I've been great. Missing you though.' He whispers, his deep voice making you shiver.
It's been a month since you last saw Harry. He had been trying to get you to go out with him on a date for 6 months straight but last month, you told him that you weren't interested in him and you never would be. You could tell it hurt him, but you needed a way of getting him to stop.
'(Y/n), would you like to go to the café around the corner and catch up a little.' He asks.
'Um, yeah that would be nice.' You say, immediately regretting it. You didn't want to give him the impression that you wanted him, even though you really did.
You had never been the most confident person in the world but when Harry asked you for your number for the first time, you said no and walked away from him. He kept asking and asking, never giving up on you but you just didn't think you were good enough for Harry Styles. You get to the café with Harry and order a hot chocolate to warm yourself up from the rain. Harry sits there, his eyes trained on your lips as you sip the hot drink. You couldn't help but feel flustered when he looked at you like that, his beautiful green eyes watching your every move.
'So, how have you been?' He asks you, smiling sweetly at you; flashing his dimple, making you go all weak.
'I've been great, work's going really well, I'm just enjoying some me time at the moment, going to the park whenever I can.' You reply.
'That sounds really good.'
'How about you Harry? With the band and all, you must be exhausted.' You ask, genuinely interested in his career.
'It's great, I can't complain, we're really enjoying every minute of it and we'll be releasing a new single soon so we can't wait for the fans to hear it.' He replies.
'Live While We're Young right?' You say.
'Yeah, I didn't think you'd know.' He says, smiling deeply at you.
Oh that smile, you think to yourself. If only he knew how much you had grown to love him. But then again, you didn't want him to know how you really felt. You were scared of getting hurt. Too many times you had trusted someone and too many times they hurt you. You felt that Harry would be the same.
'(Y/n), can I ask you something please?' He says, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
'Um, I guess so.' You reply.
'Why am I not good enough for you?' He says, his voice breaking at the end.
'No Harry, trust me, you're perfect. Please don't do this.' You say. Harry grabs your hand and holds it in his soft one.
