Halfway across town, as the sun was setting, the Gleeful family was eating dinner.

"I met a boy today," Mabel announced, breaking the tension. "He saved me from Norman. Who was a bunch of gnomes."

"Excuse me," Dipper Gleeful interjected coldly. "Don't forget I saved you from the leader."

Mabel rolled her eyes. "Anyway, the boy seemed new."

"Probably a relative of those pesky Southeasts," Dipper added. "He had that aura around him."

The man at the head of the table nearly chocked on his dinner. "The Southeasts? Mystery Shack guys?"

"It's no big deal," Dipper replied, rolling his eyes. "We can take them, Stan."

Stan Gleeful narrowed his eyes. "I still want you to take protection. What's that triangle guy you keep mentioning - Bill Cipher?"

"Will Cipher," Mabel corrected. "I dunno how he could help us."

"Yeah, that guy. Trick him into working for us. We're great at that," Stan said, snorting.

Mabel and Dipper shared an evil smirk.

An hour later, outside in a forest, the twins stood in front of a chalk drawing - a circle with strange symbols. In the center of the circle, on top of a drawing of a triangle with one eye, was a picture of the Southeasts.

Dipper held out Journal Number 2 and started reciting words that made no sense whatsoever to Mabel.

Suddenly, Dipper's eyes glowed a bright yellow. He collapsed to his knees, speaking in reverse.

That made no sense to Mabel yet again.

Then an opening in the sky appeared. Blue flames lined the triangle-shaped hole.

And finally, with a loud snap, a blue triangle-thing popped into existance.

Mabel and Dipper stared at the thing.

"Oh, Gravity Falls," the thing said. (It didn't have a mouth, but it lightly flashed when speaking.) "It's good to be back!"

Dipper stood up, brushing himself off.

The triangle's eye noticed the twins and immediately froze. Its eye widened.

"Th - the Gleeful twins," the triangle stammered. "Another pair -"

"Will Cipher," Dipper began. "We have a job for you."

"What do you ask of me?"

"The Southeasts seem like they're up to no good," Dipper said. "We want you to discover what's going on in that Mystery Shack."

The triangle thing made a laughing noise. "That's it?"

"If you can't find anything," Dipper continued, "then you stay with us. The Gleefuls.

"You work for us if you fail."

Will Cipher froze for a moment, then stuck out his hand, yellow flames erupting from his palm. "Deal, Pinetree."

The two shook hands, and the yellow flames glowed brightly in the night.
