Corrupted (A Dark Percy Jackson Story)

Chapter IIII

[Narrator]

Annabeth somehow pulled herself away from her Seaweed Brain in order to Iris-Message the gods. She kept thinking of what God to contact that actually cares about what happens to Percy. Then it hit her. Poseidon Annabeth threw her golden drachma and said, "O' Iris, accept my offering. Show me Lord Poseidon" asked Annabeth. Annabeth saw Percy's father and bowed. "Lord Poseidon I am afraid I have terrible news" Annabeth said with a pang of guilt in her voice. "My dear Annabeth, what is the matter? Is my boy alright?" Poseidon asked with concern. Annabeth shook her head no. "It seems that something has corrupted him. My diagnosis is that something got to him right before we walked through the Doors of Death" Annabeth said while holding back a sob. "I see, I will have all the gods bring you children to Olympus straight away" "Thank you Lord Poseidon" "And Annabeth?" "Yes?" "Can you show him to be right now?" "Of course Lord Poseidon, but he is still passed out because we had to restrain him"

[Annabeth]

Jason and Hazel pulled Percy so that Poseidon could see him. I could see the pain in his sea-green eyes. They look just like Percy's. Annabeth thought. "Okay, I have received that the Council is ready so we will send you now. 

On Mount Olympus

We appeared in front of all of the gods. I saw that Percy was just now starting to wake up and was groaning from the new bump on his head due to me. All of the gods were having side conversations until Zeus yelled, "SILENCE! Now we all know why we have gathered here on this day. We must discuss the fate of Perseus Jackson. He has recently been possessed by a demonic force from Tartarus."

[Percy]

I wake up to a splitting headache and then I remembered how I got it. I open my eyes and realize where I am. The throne room on Olympus. I look around and see that Zeus is saying something to everyone, but I don't listen to him because I can't really focus on anything. I realize that I am chained up in chains made of celestial bronze. I interrupt Zeus by saying, "What's going on?" All eyes start to focus on me. "Ah, I see that you are finally awake" Zeus said. "Now, Perseus Jackson what do you remember?" "Umm... I remember feeling this wave of rage towards my friends, especially towards Jason and Annabeth. It was weird. It was like all of my emotions were switched on them. Instead of loving them, I hated them. Next thing I know is that I'm here" Percy said. The gods started to whisper to each other about me. "Also, can someone please untie me here?" I asked. "I'm sorry my boy but until we can figure out how to control this demon inside of you, we have to make sure you can't hurt anyone else" My father said with a depressing sigh. I nodded in agreement, but my ADHD is really acting up and I need to move. I realize that I can easily break through these chains because someone had not tied them good enough, but I decided against it. I would rather not be blasted into a hundred million pieces by Zeus today. 

As Zeus is talking to the other gods, I scoot so that I am near Annabeth more. I just want to feel safe, and with her I do. I rest my head against leg as she moves her hand through my hair, playing with it. 

After awhile the gods realize how tired we all are. Hestia escort pairs of us to rooms so that we could get some sleep. I was paired with Annabeth and we enter our new, small room. The chains are starting to get really uncomfortable so when the door closed I took them off. "Percy! You need to put them back on, you heard you Father!" Annabeth scolded me. "Wise Girl I know but I can't sleep with those on" I replied. "Fine, but go straight to bed please" she says as I cuddle up with her on one of the small beds in the room. I fall asleep to the sound of Annabeth breathing and the scent of her lemon shampoo.  

When I wake up I realize that Annabeth is not sleeping next to me. I panic for a second, but then realize that she is reading a book on the other bed. I try to stand up, but I am chained up on the bed. "Oh come on" I complain. Annabeth looks at me and sighs, "I'm sorry Seaweed Brain, but we need to be careful about it." I groan and try to start finding a weak spot in the chains. After a minute, I give up. "So...what did the Council say what's gonna happen to me?" I ask breaking the silence. "Honestly Percy, I don't know. The gods are still trying to figure out what is controlling you. But don't worry we'll figure something out-" "Together" I say finishing her sentence. Annabeth smiled at me and I smiled back. "I love you Seaweed Brain" "Love y-"

Then it became hard to breathe. My whole mind was aching and I started screaming because the pain was so intense. "Oh gods Percy! Stay here I'll get help" Annabeth says as she sprints out of the room. I was trying so hard to gain control back, but I couldn't. It took full control. 

I try to sit up, but I am still locked down on the bed. That little bitch. How dare she chain me up while I am sleeping! I thought. I could still reach Riptide, so I uncap it and break through the chains. I stretch, finally feeling free. I walk out of the room and find myself to the entrance of the Throne Room. I laugh quietly thinking how fun this is going to be. 

I bust through the doors to see all of the gods still there. "Good, you are all still here" I say. All of the god's eyes land on my dark red eyes. "Perseus! I advice you to stand down." Zeus says trying to strike fear in me. I just laugh. "Oh Zeus, do you honestly think that you  scare me?" I say mocking his tone. His face then turns red with anger and tried to throw lightning at me. I quickly dodged while using my powers from the pool in the room. I start to have my own little hurricane and I charge at Zeus. I could feel the golden Ichor pumping through his body. I then concentrate of him choking on his own blood. Ares tries to break my focus by throwing weapons at me, but I easily dodge them with my hurricane and throw them back at him. By then all of my friends  come into the room, charging at me. Zeus has now passed out due to lack of oxygen, but I keep on going to choke him. I see that Athena and Annabeth  are trying to play a tactic against me in the corner of my eye. "Oh not this time you won't!" I yell while charging at them, leaving Zeus very weak with Grace trying to help his pathetic father back up. Athena tries to throw her spear at me, but I easily side step and roll to dodge it. Annabeth tries to get behind me to knock me out again but I just take her by the hair and throw her across the room. Artemis and Apollo are still trying to get their arrows through my hurricane, but are failing horribly. I charge at them, throwing them from each side to the room until they are too weak to stand. Aphrodite  doesn't even try to attack me because she faints in a panic. Both Leo and Hephaestus are throwing their fireballs at me, but they are quickly dosed out by my water. 

[Annabeth]

Ow  is all I can think because I am in so much pain. I see that Percy is still fighting everyone, but is somehow winning. He is laughing as he weakens the gods. I see that my mother is still awake and ready for battle. I signal her and tell her what my plan is.

My mom nods in agreement and we set off our plan. By now, Percy has defeated everyone but, Poseidon, Athena, and Hestia. Right when Percy tries to fight my mother I yell, "Percy please don't! If you ever loved me please don't do this!" I see that his eyes flicker colors for a second, but no luck they turn back into the evil red. "Sorry, but it's gonna take a little bit more than that to defeat me" he laughs. He then starts advancing towards me and lifting me up by my shirt. "Pathetic" he says to me. 

[Percy]

I wasn't able to sense that Athena and Poseidon were cornering me until I felt a trident and spear poking into my neck and back. I was trapped. "Son, please calm down" Poseidon said. I raised my hands in the air in defeat, but I tried to grab Annabeth to threaten them, but I was quickly disarmed. Soon enough, I had all of the Olympians surrounding me. Then Hestia came right in front on me."Ah, the weakest Olympian! And what exactly are you going to do to stop me? Tend the fireplace?" I laugh. Then Hestia's eyes transport me back into my memories.

"And is was the best underwater kiss of all time" 

"You're going to the movies. Yeah. Just the two of you. Mom!"

"Oh... You are in so much trouble"

"Percy pulled Annabeth close and kissed her. The rivalry ends here, Percy said. I love you Wise Girl." 

After seeing all these happy memories of my friends and family, I could feel my real self taking control. I fall down because of how tired I am. Annabeth rushes to my side, but is stopped by Zeus intercepting her and I. "Don't! We must lock him up into the dungeon immediately!" I could hear Annabeth trying to protest as I was dragged away. Next thing I knew, I was in a cold, damp cell. I shiver and just wrap my legs to my knees and sob quietly, realizing what I have just done.
