I could feel worry building in the pit of my stomach, and it was starting to cause me to get sick. I knew I would just have to push that feeling to the side until I really found out what was going on. I softly smiled, or I tried to give off a small smile, at Jacob.

"Can you give me a ride home?" I asked, giving him my puppy dog eyes. It wasn't like I really needed to do it, because he would have given me a ride anyways.

"Yeah, I'll give you a ride." He smiled and we started walking, but he stopped outside the garage door and looked at the guys. "Don't mess with the parts, and clean up the mess you made when you were goofing off." He told them and we walked off. Walking over to his bike, I stopped before I got on, looking around me.

"I forgot where I left my bag." I looked up at him, a small confused look on my face. "I swear I just had it, or atleast I thought that I had it."

"You probably just left it at Emily's." He told me and I lightly shook my head.

"No, I knew that I had it when we left there." I told him, looking around. How could I be so stupid, or atleast I felt like that.

"Well, don't worry about it, I'll get you home and then I'll come back and have the guys help me look for it, maybe they'll even find it when they're cleaning up. " He told me and I nodded my head.

"Okay." I let out a small sigh before climbing on the bike behind him.

Jacob gave off a small smile over his shoulder before starting up the bike. I held on tight and he took off. I closed my eyes and laid my head on his back, letting the wind blow through my hair. Let all thw weight come off shoulders, trying to prepare myself for anything that could happen when I get home. Let myself feel free in the moment

It wasn't long until we pulled into the driveway. When I opened my eyes there where a lot of cars, everywhere. A police car, an ambulance, and cars I didn't know. I felt my heart drop into the pit of my stomach as I stared at everything in front of me. I slowly climbed off the bike and took a few steps before stopping and looking back at Jacob.

"Come with me?" I asked him, begging him to. "Please."

"I can't." He told me with a hurt look on his face. It's the like he had to force the words out, thw way he looked at the house before looking back at me.

"Why?" I looked at him with confusion and pain, I had no clue what was awaiting me when I walked through my front door. I went to step closer to him but my mother came running out.

"Madeline, you need to come inside." I looked at her before looking back at Jacob, hoping that he would get off his bike and follow me. "Thank you for being her home Jacob." She then began to pull me inside. I looked back at Jacob once again as she pulled me inside, he looked sad, scared, and worried all at one and that made me worry.

I saw his body lightly shake, he was fighting himself, he was going to shift, and he was fighting it. The last look he saw in my eyes was fear, complete fear, and that wasn't helping either of us.

"Madeline, there you are." My mother looked at me as I skipped through the front door. I had a large smile on my face before I turned my back to wave goodbye to Rachel who had dropped me off at home after I had been playing with Jacob. "I'm sorry that you had to come home so soon." I turned to look back at my mom, and that's when I saw it, her eyes were red and her face looked swollen. Jacob soon walked in and gave me a sad look, causing me to grow a confused.

"Addie-Bear." My grandmother turned the corner with the same look as my mom, and that's when I fully knew what had happened. My hear dropped and the tears started to flow down my face.

"No, no, no." I cried out as I felt Jacob wrap his arms around me. I was suppose to be at my grandfather's side when he left. I was suppose to be able to tell him how much I loved him, how much I was going to miss him. I was suppose to be able to tell him goodbye.

"He loved you so much, you know that." I looked up at my mom, she tried to give me a smile, but I knew that it was forced. "Jacob why don't you take her to her room."
