I woke up in the morning alone on the couch. The music was still playing. The fire had died out. Other than the music, the whole place was quite. I slowly got up and through the shirt on I had back on the previous night.

"Jake?" I called out walking through the house.

I didn't get any response. Even when he's asleep, he'll usely make a tried attempt to call back. I guess he's just out with the pack. I headed to the bathroom and processed to get ready for the day.

********

Talking to Jacob last night, I think it really helped. I finally think things might go back to normal. As normal as i t could get. I know I wished for things to go back to my normal. Well, this is my normal.

I was happy with Jacob. I was close to the pack. Things were falling back to place.

I was sitting on the couch in the living room, quietly reading one of my books that I've probably already read a thousand times. I continued to let the music play, even though it was probably over the fifth time one song has played. I lightly sung alone, distracting myself from by reading. Oh well.

I wanna rock it all night
Baby girl, will you rock it out with me?
I wanna crawl through the dark
Just to feel your heart beat against me

I stood up, dropping the door down on the couch. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a can of pop. I heard the door open, so I sat the can down and walking out into the hallway. Jacob walked in and he had a huge smile on this face. He ran up to me, picking me up on his arms and spinning me around. I laughed and looked up at him as he sat me down.

"What was that all about?" I raised my eyebrow at him.

"We caught the bloodsucker that kidnapped you." I smiled big, grabbing his hands in mine.

"Really?" I almost squeaked and he let out a small laugh.

"Yeah, so were going to have a big bomb fire out at the beach latter. So, go put on something warm." I smiled and he kissed the top of my head before I headed off to get change.

Walking into the living room, I felt warm arms wrap around my waist. I let out a small laugh. I headed back and he kissed my check. I grabbed his hands and brought one up and kissed it.

"I love you." I whispered into his hand.

"I love you too." He said into my head before kissing it. "Let's go before the others eat all the food." I let out a laugh and headed outside.

We took the path through the woods. I slightly walked behind him before I stopped for a moment. He didn't seem to notice, so I waited till he was little bit in front of me. I then took off running and jumped on his back. I caught him off guard, but he didn't fall or let me fall. He wrapped his hands under my legs and held me up.

"Hi Jacob." I smiled and kissed his check.

"Hi Maddy." He smiled at me as he continued to walk on.

"So I guess things will be going back to normal, hmm?" I asked him, as I held on around his shoulders the best I could.

"What's your definition of normal?" He raised his eyebrow at me.

"No one trying to kill anyone." He lightly smiled.

"I hope it does."

He sat me on my feet as we got to the beach and I took off to Emily and Kim. I engulfed Kim in a hug, which I took her off guard. But, she hugged me back.

"I haven't seen you in for ever." I said to her as I pulled back from the hug.

"I know, We have to hang out soon." I smiled and nodded my head.

"Since no one's trying to kill me, we definitely should." She smiled and rolled her eyes at me.

"Like Jacob would let anything bad happen to you."

I let out a small laugh and looked over to were Jacob was standing. He looked over and smiled at me, I smiled back. I looked back at Kim.

"No, he wouldn't." She smiled.

The night went perfectly. Nothing went wrong. No one got hurt. Well, Paul burnt his hand in the fire when he added for wood. But he got to close to it in the first place, so it was his fault.

I was sitting on a blinket, leaning back on my hands when I felt body heat next to me. I turned to smile at Jacob. He wrapped his arm around my waist and I leaned against him. This was perfect.

Everything was perfect.
