"Help! Someone please help me!" I heard Jacob yell as I felt him run. My eyes were closed and I was covered in blood. "My girlfriend was in an accident!"
I then felt his body heat go away and all I wanted was for it to come back.
"Is she allergic to anything?" A female voice asked.
"No, not that I'm aware of. I need you to get Dr. Cullen, he knows her." Jacob said then all I heard were mixed voices.
"J-Jake?" I tried to sit up, up was lightly pushed back down.
"It's okay, he's in the waiting room." A women's voice said and I felt a mask go over my face. "Can you countdown starting at ten."
"10...... 9...... 8...." I tried to open my eyes to see what was going on, but I don't know if they where open. They felt open. "7....... 6......" I closed my eyes again. "5....."
"Keep counting." It sounded like Dr. Cullen.
"4..... 3.... 2....." Then it was all dark.
***********
I could hear the familiar beating of the heart monitor. My head didn't hurt as bad. I couldn't feel my feet, they were all tingly. My whole body was tingly. I was tired, my whole body was tried. I didn't know how long I was out, and I just wanted to keep sleeping. But something was telling me to stay awake. Something was telling me to wake up.
"I can't leave her alone anymore. What's she's been through, this isn't even close to a break down she could have." I heard Jacob say.
"She's going to have to be watched, someone is going to have to be with her at all times." Sam agreed.
"You can't just put her an a 24/7 watch list. We've done it once before, and look how that turned out." Paul said, little irritated too.
"Yeah, trust me. I remember. You know how hard that was to explain to Maddy. My whole broken ribs." Jacob agreed. "You should have see the worry in her eyes."
"Jake, have you even tried to talk to her?" Emily asked, her voice soft and quit like it always was.
"Yeah, but she won't talk about it. We'll be talking and then I'd bring it up. She loose her smile, she wouldn't look at me, she wouldn't say anything. Then she'd walk away and wouldn't talk to me for hours. It hurts me so much, I want to help her. But I don't know how." A tear ran down my cheek.
I didn't know that I put him through this. I've been putting him through so much and I can't even talk to him about it. This is the second time he's had to take me to the hospital. I held back the shaky breath I wanted to take in.
"Talk to her when she wakes up." Emily said.
"What if she doesn't want to talk?" Jacob asked.
"Find a way." Emily said and I heard four people walk out if the room.
Did Jacob leave?
I slowly started to sit up, opening my eyes. I let out a breath and felt a hand on my lower back. I looked to my left to see Jacob. He lightly smiled at me.
"Hey." I lightly smiled, he weakly smiled at me. I looked down and he let go of my back. "I heard."
"Oh."
"I didn't know." I couldn't look up at him.
"I never said anything." I looked up at him.
"You could have said something, I worry about you just as much as you worry about me. I know I'm not special as you, and I get into a lot of trouble. But that doesn't change anything. You don't have to worry about me all the time." I stood up and he tried to help me, but I shoved his hands away. "I don't need to be watched 24/7, I don't need to be worried about all the time, I don't need someone with me at all time. I just need time. My whole family is gone, that's going to take a toll on someone." I was hooked on a i-vy, I had to grab it so I could stay standing. I could barely feel my legs.
"Please, sit back down." He tried to set closer.
"I'm fine, I just need time. Give me time." I looked down.
"Is this how you've felt, the whole time your grandmother and mom died?"
"Yes, it is. Nothings going to change it. Not now. Not ever."
"Not even a baby?"
"What?" I looked up at him. Shocked. Frozen in my spot.
"Dr. Cullen, he came to talk to me about a blood test he ran. He knew it was me, he couldn't talk to you. So he came to me." I looked down again. Everything started to get blurry. "Maddy. Maddy?" I held into the i-vy tighter. "You need to sit down." He walked over and made me sit on the bed.
I shook my head over and over again, I couldn't believe it. That's only been a few days, how could it happen so soon? Does it have something to do with Jacob quick healing. With all his powers.
"H-How?" I looked up at him, he stood in front of me. He was kneeling in front of me so he was looking at me right in the eyes.
"He said it had something to do with my blood and yours."
"Mine? My blood? There's nothing special about my blood." I shook my head.
