Btw they are all 17 in this time and space 😋

"So." Michael said, sitting down on his bed, which was across the room from my own. "What do you want to do tomorrow?" He asked me." I might go shopping or something, I don't really know." I shrugged.

"Well, I could introduce you to my band mates?"

My blood ran cold. I forgot all about him.

Luke.

I couldn't face luke! I'd only just fully gotten over him! "Erm, by mates you mean Ashton, Calum and Luke, right?" I asked him. I remembered faintly that they were friends. I never got properly introduced to Calum, I'd just seen him around before. Ashton's mom and my mom were best friends back then, and Ashton used to come round to our house everyday.

"Yeah... yeah I do. Do you know them?" He asked sitting up. "Er, no! I mean- yes I do." I stuttered. "I got along with l- Ashton well." I covered up. There was no way I could tell him. I was freaking out inside.

"Oh." Michael said, a confused look on his face. "Are you sure?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes- I'm sure."

"Oh. Okay then. Luke and the boys are coming over tomorrow." He said

My heart races at the sound of his name.

"Well, I'm going to get some sleep. Goodnight, Michael." I said quickly, wanting to end this conversation.

"Sleep? It's one in the afternoon!" Michael said. "I am jet lagged you know!" I laughed. "Whatever, I'll wake you up later." He sighed, getting up.

"Goodnight, Kayleigh." He said, shutting the door. "Goodnight." I mumbled, getting in the covers.

The room fell silent, my ragged breathing the only thing I could hear.

I eventually fell asleep, after an hour of nonstop panicking. This is going to be the death of me, seeing his angelic face again. At least I had until tomorrow...

---

"Kayleigh?.." A faint voice said. My eyes blinked open and Michael was standing at the door. "There's some pizza downstairs, if you're hungry." He said. "Oh, yeah sure. Okay." I muttered, getting out of bed. I fixed my hair into a bun. I was in pyjama shorts and a tank top.

Michael literally ran past me, down the stairs.

I followed where he went; down the stairs, the corridor and then make a left into the kitchen.

"And then she said tha-" an Aussie voice said but stopped when I came into the room. I looked up.

It was them.

All four of them, just sat at the island in the middle kitchen. Right before me, was the boy I had spent a year getting over, was right in front of me.

I stopped right in my tracks, just in the doorway. I looked at their faces, they all started back at me. We all pretty much had the same expression on our faces; pure and utter shock.

"Wher-" I started but my words got caught in my throat when I looked him in the eye.

He had changed a lot since I last saw him. His hair was quiffed and his jaw line was more structured. He also had a black lip ring. All of these, may I add, made him look a billion times hotter.

Well, puberty did it's job.

"Where's dad?" I asked Michael, tearing my gaze from Luke's.

"He's out." Michael said. He looked at me with a confused face.

"O-okay." I stuttered.

The room became very thick was tension and I felt as thought I couldn't breath.

"Maybe coming back here wasn't such a great idea." I mumbled. "What?! No! They are all just shocked to see you!" Michael said."Right boys?" Michael said

, probably hoping to himself that that was the answer.

"Er, yeah!" Ashton said with a grin. He got up and hugged me tightly. "I missed you." He mumbled. "I missed you too, ash." I said to him. His mum was friends with my mum and he used to come over a lot.

Calum hugged me next, and also introduced himself, as I had never spoke to him before but I had seen him around.

Lastly was Luke. Everyone just stared at him as he stayed put in his seat. I shrugged it off, turning on my heel and walking out the kitchen.

"Wait!" Luke said. His voice was a lot deeper than last time too. "Guys, I speak to Kayleigh, alone?" He asked. Michael frowned. "Why?" He asked.

"Because! I just do!" Luke spat.

The boys hesitantly obliged and quickly walked out of the kitchen.

Luke took a deep breath. "Hey." he breathed out. "Hi." I mumbled. "Your back." He chuckled. I was actually surprised at how well he was taking this.

"I'm back." I shrugged. "I missed you." I blurted out. My eyes widened at my own words. "I-i." I stuttered.

His eyes were wide and he had frozen up. "I didnt mean to say that." I said quickly.

Luke's p.o.v
I was still in a state of confusion. I haven't seen her in more than a year!

I looked at her in shock as she tried to cover up what she said.

I don't even know why she's here to be honest!

"Kayleigh?" I said, stopping her from rambling on. "Y-yes?" She said. "Why are you back here?" I asked her, not intending to sound rude.

Her eyes widened a bit before she stared at the floor.

"It's a long story." She finally spoke up. "And I- I don't want to talk about it." She said, her voice cracking.

"Well," I said in a soft voice, walking towards her. "I've got time." I told her.

"Well I dont." She spat.

She walked out, shutting the door behind her.

What just happened?

Kayleigh's p.o.v
I went into the living room, where Michael was currently sat. Luke soon followed but didn't say anything.

"C'mon." Michael said to me. "We need to talk." He said.

I followed him into the kitchen, where I took a seat.
