We sped off down the road. "How far is it from here?" I asked no one in particular. "Er..it's about three and a half hours away." Luke said. "Oh.." I said. Great. " You can sit of the back of the car while we drive, you know guys?" Ashton said to me, Luke and Calum. "Really?" I said.
"Yeah sure, go ahead!" Ashton beamed. I took my seatbelt off and sat on the back. It was a little scary at first but then it was awesome. Ashton blasted the radio. To be honest,I was having the best time of my life: the wind blowing through my long,brown hair, and us all singing at the top of our lungs. I haven't been this happy in my entire life. I actually had friends and family that really cared about me.
"Guys?" I said. "Yeah?" All of them replied. "I love you. All!" I shouted. "Aw Kay, we love you too!" Ashton beamed again. He was always so happy, that's what I loved about Ashton. And then my mind trailed to a certain blonde haired boy who was currently sitting next me at the back of a convertible, while we both sang our asses off. I can't believe it hasn't even been that awkward.
We dated for a year for god sake! As if on cue, Luke looked and me and smiled. I don't know what came over me but I hugged him. I've only been here for a few weeks but here I am, moving in with my best friends. I don't have a care in the world now to be honest. "Thanks Kay." Luke said suddenly."For what?" I said, looking in his blue orbs of delight. "For starting over, with me." He said with a smile. "I thought you wouldn't talk to me ever again."
He said. "To be honest Luke, I wish I never left." I said while looking down. Luke looked with soft eyes.
"Kayleigh I-"
Someone cut him off.
"Gas stop!" Ashton shouted, ruining the moment that Luke and I were currently sharing. "I'm going in the shop, what wants anything?"Ashton said. It was now way too awkward for me to stay sat here."I'm coming!" I quickly shouted. Calum got out and let me out.
"That was way too awkward with me and Luke back there." I said to Ashton as soon as we got in the store.
"I heard!" Ashton said. As I got some drinks.
"I just want to be with him again. I don't want anyone else." I sighed.
I looked at Ashton and he was looking at me with a sad expression.
"Ash?" I said. He just shook his head and we walked to the checkout. When we got there I put the drinks at the checkout and walked out.
When I got back to the car, Luke was red faced while he was talking and Calum was laughing. I walked over and I heard Luke talking.
"Stop laughing, Calum! I can't help that I like Kay-" He stopped when he noticed me standing there.
"I ... er" Luke stuttered as I got in the car.
Their was a huge awkward silence between us.
"Well, I don't wanna be in this car anymore. So put the radio on mikey?" I said.
"Er.. okay." Michael said.
Ashton came back and we started off again. He kept glancing at me through the mirror. I slowly felt my head get heavy as I lent on someone's shoulder.
My eyes fluttered awake when someone was nudging me."Kayleigh? Wake up!" I looked to see who it was.
Luke.
Perfect, I thought to myself.
"Yeah?" I said lifting my head up. "We're here!" Luke said, getting out if the car. He held the door open for me. "Thank you." I blushed.
I stopped in my tracks when I looked at the 'apartment' in front of me. This thing was huge!
"I call the biggest room!" I shouted, running into the house, which Ashton had already opened the door. The place already had furniture in it. It was pretty modern from what I could see. I ran up the glass stairs.
