The next day...
Kayleigh's POV
I woke up, and Luke was snoring loudly behind me. I got up and got a shower. I got changed into some black ripped skinny jeans, a pair of black vans, and a random t-shirt.Luke was still asleep and I needed some Starbucks. I walked downstairs to find Michael on his phone while Ash and Calum were playing FIFA.
"Michael, Starbucks, let's go." I said. He got up immediately and put his jacket on.
Michael had gotten his drivers license about a week ago (no😏). We headed out the door and got in the car. "Why so quick?" Michael said while looking over at me. "I haven't had Starbucks in a long time and I want some time with my brother. " I smiled. "Aww.." Michael cooed. We got to the nearest Starbucks and Michael went to order as I sat down.
I looked over at a girl, who looked about my age, looking for something. "Hey, what have you lost?" I said. She looked up making eye contact with me. Holy. Shit. It's Nadia! She was my best friend from primary and secondary school!
"Kayleigh?!" She screamed, running towards me, engulfing me into a warm hug. We sat down, talking for ages. I completely forgot that Michael was with me.
"Oh Nadia! This Michael, my brother." I said, gesturing towards him. "Brother?..." She trailed off. They both stared in awe at each other. "Hey." Michael breathed out, still staring into her eyes longingly. "Hey..." she copied his tone. "Would you like to go out to dinner with me?" Michael said suddenly.
I just sat there in shock. Michael NEVER made the first move. Ever. "Yes I would.." She breathed out. "Okay, just text me your address and I'll come and pick you up, babe." Michael said, gaining some confidence.
"Okay, I have to go now but Kayleigh we will catch up tomorrow and Michael I'll see you later." She said nervously. "Okay, see you babe." He said while hugging her. She walked away and he just stood there. "She's... perfect." He said. I just chuckled in response, knowing how he feels because thats how I am with Luke.
We got home and Michael went upstairs and Calum and Ashton were in the living room. "Guys, I have something to announce." I told them. "What?" Calum asked.
"Michael just asked someone on a date!" I exclaimed. Calum choked on the drink he was drinking. "What?!" Ashton shouted. "Yep. I saw my best friend from school and they were so nervous around each other!" I exclaimed. "And then he just asked her out!" I said.
"Oh my god I can't believe him. He's never done that before.." Calum said.
"It was pretty awkward for me as well though. I was kinda third wheeling." I said while chuckling. "Im gonna go talk to him." Ashton announced. "Me too!" Calum said while following him upstairs.
I then felt a pair of hands sneak round my waist. I jumped in surprise. "Hey babe. Luke's husky voice spoke. "Hi Luke." I said while he rested his chin on my shoulder. He dragged me over to the couch and I sat on his lap. "Comfy there?" Luke questioned while smirking.
"Shut it, hemmings." I said. I sighed in happiness. So much has happened over the past few months and it's been crazy. But I have loved every waking moment of it. Back when Luke and I broke up, I became very depressed and I would cut myself all the time. I have never told anyone that. Ever. I haven't done it since I came to Australia, but the scars are clearly visible. I kinda forgot about them.
"Kay?" Luke asked, waving his hand in front of my face, knocking me out if my trance. "Yeah? Oh sorry Luke." I blushed. "It's fine Kay. What were you thinking about anyways?" He asked while poking around with his lip ring. "Just these few months have been.. amazing!" I breathed out. "Just look at us all. I'm living in a really nice apartment with my bestest friends and my bestest boyfriend!.." I said.
