My eyes widened in surprise at what Hanji did, and my hands unconsciously clutched their coat tightly in response. Hanji's lips slanted over mine, and I found myself unable to resist - I was completely under their spell. I closed my eyes and gave myself up to the feeling, utterly captivated by them.
We both pulled away after a few moments, our eyes heavily glazed with emotion.
"What was that about?" I asked them in a small voice, and only then did I realize that I was holding on to them. I quickly let go and looked down, fidgeting with my fingers in the process.
Hanji's face was flushed, and I saw them cover their face with the back of their hand.
"That confirms it..." Hanji muttered as they turned to look at me and cupped my face in their hands.
I didn't say anything, though my face probably showed my confusion at her words. My hands were trembling, and I still couldn't believe that they had kissed me. To add to that, that was my first kiss as well. Although I'm not complaining, since I do like Hanji, after all.
Before Hanji was able to say something else, the coach door suddenly opened, and we both practically jumped away from each other, both of our faces flaming in embarrassment. Captain Levi was standing outside, his arms crossed over his chest, looking bored and nonchalant as he always did.
"What are you two brats doing? It's already late," Captain Levi asked, glancing from me to Hanji as he arched an eyebrow.
I vigorously shook my head to dispel any thoughts that he might get, though he didn't look convinced at all. He then glared at Hanji, who was chuckling nervously as they scratched the back of their head.
"Just talking, shorty! You know how talkative I can get!" Hanji immediately said as they glanced over in my direction.
"Yeah! Hanji's right...Captain Levi," I added to somehow back them up, though only weakly.
Captain Levi sighed a little before he said, "Just get your asses out of that damned carriage already. Erwin's already looking for you, Hanji," then he strode off, leaving the two of us alone once more.
I swallowed nervously before I turned to face Hanji and said, "Maybe...some other time?"
Hanji flashed me a bright smile and nodded before they effortlessly hopped down from the carriage. They then offered their hand to me, and I accepted it with a smile, before getting down as well.

When I got to my room, Sasha was expectantly looking at me with a suggestive smile. I quickly bit my lip to hide my embarrassment, but of course, it didn't have the effect that I desired, as my cheeks were still red. I immediately ran to the bathroom to freshen up and change into my sleepwear, steeling my nerves to face Sasha later on.
After about an hour on so, I got out while drying my hair with a small towel, placing my previous clothes inside a laundry basket. I had expected Sasha to already be asleep, but boy was I wrong.
She was still there with a fascinated expression, and I sighed before I sat down on the edge of her bed.
She inched closer to me and asked, "So, what happened back there?"
I cleared my throat as my cheeks reddened once more, taking my time before I answered, "Hanji...kissed me."
Sasha looked as if she had a titan for a roommate with the way her eyes widened in surprise, before letting out a loud squeal that was probably enough to wake everyone up in the dorm.
"[Y/N]! I'm so very happy for you!" Sasha exclaimed before she practically jumped on me and wrapped me in her arms.
I bit my lip in nervousness before I said, "Please don't tell anyone else for now. I...still don't know what's actually happening."
Sasha pulled away from me then asked, "What do you mean by that?"
I fidgeted with my fingers and sighed before answering, "Well, I wasn't able to somehow clarify it with them because Captain Levi suddenly arrived."
She paused for a moment, her eyes wide, and whispered, "Did he...see you two like that?
"What? No!" I hastily told her as I vigorously shook my head.
Sasha yawned in response as she rubbed her eyes and said, "I'd love to ask for more details, but I'm too sleepy so I'll just bother you about it tomorrow. Goodnight, [Y/N]!"
I smiled as I went to my side of the bed and softly answered, "Goodnight, Sasha!"

The ray of sunlight that shone through the window interrupted my sleep, and I attempted to block it out by putting my head under my pillow. However, Sasha was already making noises from the bed beside mine, making it even more difficult to do so.
"[Y/N]! Rise and shine, princess!" Sasha enthusiastically said as the brunette tugged on her hand.
"No...five more minutes.." I grumbled as I did my best to get some more sleep.
Of course, Sasha wasn't going to let this happen.
"But...breakfast is the most important meal of the day!" she exclaimed and gave an almighty pull, making me fall off the bed.
She visibly panicked and helped me up as she hastily said, "[Y/N]! I'm so sorry! Are you alright?"
I gave her a small smile and rubbed my bottom, before getting up as well. I glanced at the clock and saw that it was nine in the morning, which was relatively late for the majority of the cadets, but since we were out last night, maybe Captain Erwin and the others had allowed us to rest for some more.
We headed to the cafeteria a few moments later and sat down with Connie, Ymir, and Christa.
"So...did something exciting happen last night?" Connie asked me as he suggestively wagged his eyebrows.
My face betrayed me as a blush spread over my cheeks, making the others laugh heartily.
"I take it you owe us food?" Ymir asked me teasingly, and Christa nodded in agreement.
I was about to answer when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I hastily turned to see who it was, and upon realizing that it was Hanji, I shot up from my seat and gave a salute.
"We...need to talk," Hanji whispered to me so the others couldn't hear.
I looked over to where my friends were and noticed that they were silently cheering me on, although they were being so painfully obvious that my cheeks only reddened even more.
"Of course! Should we talk here or-" I started to say but was cut off when they put a finger over my mouth, effectively shutting me up. It also reminded me of our kiss last night.
Hanji held on to my wrist and took me outside the dining area, and soon we had arrived in an empty room. What made me even nervous was that they looked left and right, as if to ensure that no one was there to see - or hear us for that matter.
"Hanji? What's wrong?" I asked softly, wondering if something was bothering them and if I could do something to help.
Hanji then cleared their throat as if they had difficulty saying what they had wanted to say and slowly let go of my wrist. Hanji turned to face the window, leaving me staring at their tall silhouette.
"What happened last night was a mistake, and I sincerely regret that it happened."
