"Guys, guys! Do you know what day it is?" Sasha exclaimed excitedly the moment she entered the common room, practically bouncing on her feet as she did so.

The rest of us in the common room, which consisted mainly of the 104th cadets as well as Moblit and some others who happened to pass by, glanced at each other curiously, and Jean answered as he raised an eyebrow, "It's Sunday, right?" he then shot a look at Connie, who nodded with a small shrug.

Sasha sighed dramatically, raising a hand to massage her temples as she shook her head lightly, "You guys really have no romantic bone in your body! It's Valentine's day!"

Once more, Sasha's words were met with silence as the rest of us tried to think of what she could've possibly meant by that.

"Oh! I think I've read about that somewhere before," Armin said as he contemplated for a moment before continuing, "If I'm not mistaken, it's a day when lovers express their affection with gifts or something similar, is that right, Sasha?"

Sasha darted off to Armin's side and held his hands in between hers as she answered, "Exactly! I knew you'd figure it out!"

"Wait, wait, how did you even know that?" Connie asked as he sat up, obviously interested in the topic.

She grinned sheepishly as she answered, "I overheard a member of the Garrison say that there was going to be a festival about it later on in towns within Wall Rose and Wall Sina, how about we go there after our midday meal?"

Sasha's eyes met mine at this, and she sent me a wink that could only mean she's planning something, again. She slowly inched to my side, before sitting down as she whispered, "How about we girls go together and get something for the others? Or in your case, something for Squad Leader Hanji."

I leaned over and answered softly, "I was actually thinking the same thing. Let's ask Mikasa, Historia, and Ymir to go with us too."

She nodded and we both stood up and went over to where the other girls were and told them of our plan. On the other hand, we noticed that the guys seemed to be planning the same thing, seeing as they also began talking about something in hushed tones.

"I think I'll pass," Ymir lazily said upon hearing of what Sasha and I suggested. We could only watch as Ymir stood up in her usual manner, pausing by where the guys were and whispered something to them, before stepping out of the room.

We saw Historia pout for a second before she schooled her expression back to her usual one.

"I'm sure Ymir's planning something special for you, Historia. She often acts like that but she truly cares about you," I told the smaller blonde as I gave her a quick hug, and Mikasa added, "Surprise her so you get to see her flustered."

At this, Historia gave us a genuine smile as she nodded, and Sasha interjected, "So, what do you think we should get them?"

We all thought for a moment before Historia said, "I think it'll depend on what's available in the festival - if there's nothing good, then we can just improvise."

"Sounds like a plan! Let's meet up later after our midday meals," Sasha said with a tone of finality as we all stood up and headed off to eat our midday meals together.

"Wow..." was the only word that came out of our lips the moment we reached the festival. Townspeople were out and about in the area, with kids pulling on their parents as they pointed at things they wanted to buy. Stalls were selling all sorts of items as well as food, and we could literally feel that Sasha wanted to make a run for it, but couldn't since Mikasa held on to her arm lightly.
