Chapter 3
She has walked out of my life like a stranger passing in the street. By doing that alone she has came two of my biggest dreams crashing down around me. The perfect marriage to the person I love, and a little family of our own. She discarded me just like she did with her, apparent, baby bump.
It has been three days since she left, I haven't heard from her since.
I fell into a routine during the past three days. Wake up like an emotionless robot, go to the arena auditions. Pass my judgements on a singer hoping to be the next big thing, get into an argument with Simon and Louis when they think I'm wrong. Go home, cry, eat, sleep, and repeat.
I agreed, about a week ago, that I would go out with the girls for my birthday. And now, that day is today.
I haven't even spoke to the girls about it, I don't know how to.
"Hey girls, did you know Kimberley left me the other day and she isn't even pregnant? Don't be too surprised like. After all, she proved how much of a good liar she is by pretending to love me for over nine years"
No thank you. I think I better keep it to myself, at least for tonight. Why ruin everyone else's fun?
Kimberley's P.O.V
It's Cheryl's birthday, and she thinks I'm going to miss it... It's like she hardly knows me at all.
I am currently on the private plane home, and then I'm going to drop my luggage off at home, get ready, and meet the girls at the hotel that they have arranged Cheryls party at.
They know I am planning on surprising her, so if there are any change of plans, they are going to text me the details.
The plane hits some turbulence half way through the flight and I rest my head back, closing my eyes as my hand instantly moves to rest on my bump. The baby I am having with Cheryl.
I can't wait for us to start our little family. I already know I will be having a big baby because of how big the bump is already and I'm not even four months gone. I know Cheryl wishes she could be more involved with the baby, but I don't see how she can be. She hasn't even see or felt the bump yet but she has already been so supportive throughout.
She held my hand while we waiting for the pregnancy test to reveal the results, and since then, it was like she couldn't do enough for me. Then when the X-factor auditions started, she would rush home after, if they were local. Else she would ring me to make sure I was okay and we would just talk about anything that came to mind.
It has been difficult for the past two months, because we have been away so much. Especially the last month, we've barely been able to speak. I'm sure she has found it hard too, we haven't properly seen each other, so she hasn't been able to watch our baby grow.
But that's all going to change now. I'm home now, our interviews and performance schedule is completed and I'm happy to rest at home, just me and Cheryl, until our baby comes.
'Are you okay?'
I turn to my side to see a nervous Alistair looking my way from across the aisle.
I realise I am smiling as I continue to stroke my belly.
'Yeah, fine' I smile contently, 'You?'
'Never mind me. I'm not pregnant' he chuckles.
'Oh chill out' I mutter, turning my head back and closing my eyes.
I jolt upright in my seat, quickly placing both hands on either side of my belly.
'Uuuurgh' I groan out in pains, my eyes tightly squeezing shut.
'Holy Sh!t Kim!!' Alistair calls out, quickly unfastening his seatbelt and diving onto his knees next to my seat.
I fall back into the chair laughing as I look at his panicked expression.
'That was not funny!' he snaps, struggling to hide his laughter effectively.
'Well you shouldn't worry so much!' I giggle, 'You were fine the whole time we were in France, why the sudden concern?'
'Because you weren't at high altitude in France, and you're more pregnant now than you were when we first flew to France.' He explains as he pulls himself back into his seat.
'Well yeah. That's what happens with pregnancy, it tends to progress until you eventually give birth.' I make it clearer for him and he rolls his eyes. 'Relax okay? I'm only three months and I'm perfectly fine to fly.'
'Well good, because I won't appreciate you going into labour six months early.' He tells me with a serious tone, 'You've managed to stick to a tight schedule all month, apart from an unscheduled toilet break here and there. So you better stick to your baby schedule too!'
I look at him, my eyebrows raised and my jaw dropped a little as I feign shock at his threatening tone. His serious expression quickly crumbles into a desperate one.
'Please?' he begs, making me chuckle.
'I'll try my best' I mutter, closing my eyes again and resting my head back. 'Now stop talking and let me sleep.'
'Yes ma'am' he replies, before silence follows and I eventually fall asleep.

The minute we land, I turn my phone back on, just to check if any of the girls have text me with different plans for tonight's surprise.
I put my phone back in my bag, as it buzzes away with all the messages coming through from the past month, while I collect my cases.
'Kim, do you need a lift home?' Alistair asks as he runs up behind me and takes the cases off me, bunging them onto a baggage trolley.
I look behind him to see his belongings discarded in the middle of the floor, neatly kept together, with a security guard patiently waiting by them.
'No it's okay, Nic said she would call a driver to come and pick me up' I smile at him gratefully.
'Kimberley Walsh?' I hear a deep voice call, turning around to see someone in a black suit approaching us.
'Found your driver' Alistair states the obvious, pointing at the man approaching, 'There he is'
I bat his hand away, 'It's rude to point you know'
The man greets us, shaking our hands and introducing himself as Mike.
'I'll come and help you with the cases' Alistair offers as Mike pushes the trolley and leads us out to the car.

After an hour long, I arrive home. Mike helps me take the cases into the pitch black hallway and says his goodbyes before leaving.
I flick the light switch on, squinting as the lights turn on at full brightness; I quickly dull them down a little.
It is about 7 O'clock and the girls said to meet them at the hotel for about half eight, because that's when they plan on making a speech for Cheryl.
I'd say I have fifteen minutes to kill before I need to start getting ready, so I decide to take the cases upstairs. Though I know Cheryl won't be too amused if she finds out I am heavy lifting in my 'condition' as she calls it.
God I can't wait to see her.Once I have dragged the cases upstairs, and managing to work up a sweat, I decide I should get a quick shower before getting ready.
My excitement begins to bubble over as I decide what to wear for tonight.
