Jekyll's POV

Y/N puts her book to the side and stands to greet me as we walk in.

"Dr. Jekyll! Are you alright?" She asks.

"I'm fine, what about you?" I reply.

"I'm good, but I'm worried about you. Poole wouldn't mention what was happening but he said you were going through a dilemma of some sort.. is there anything I can do? Could you tell me what's happening?"

I stay silent for a moment. Thinking to myself. 'This was a fairly dangerous situation.. but there was no possible way for Hyde to escape, at least not this time.. but if he did then he would've gotten her unless Poole got her away in time.'

After a moment of deciding, "Poole, may you make us some more tea?" Poole nods and leaves the room. "Y/N, please, sit down."

She sits and I sit in the chair next to hers. "I can only tell you so much at the moment. But I must tell you some for your own safety."

Y/N's manner goes from a little concerned to more. It's always concerning when there's more than one person in danger. "Y/N.. Poole knows the full situation, but I have asked him to not say anything and I will ask you to not question him, only I can tell you the answers."

"I understand" she says. Poole returns with the tea and pours us both a cup.

"Now, when we first met and I told you I am still waiting for more to happen to make results, that was a lie. The experiment has already started with effects, it started almost 2 weeks ago the same night I started the experiment. But the experiment is not going as I intended so I feared to tell you anything."

"Is it that bad? Or is it just random breakouts and you're embarrassed?"

"It's... random breakouts of another sort... but at the moment I cannot say."

"I understand Dr. Jekyll, but please tell me eventually, especially if it gets worse."

"I will." I say and that is the final word of that particular conversation. "Would you like to stay a little longer? You are close to done with your book." I smile a little, and so does Y/N when she looks down at it.

"I would be delighted Dr. Jekyll. Really quite a fascinating library you have."

"Thank you. Poole."

"Yes sir?"  Poole answers.

"You may go to bed if you like, I can take care of it from here."

Poole nods, then leaves us alone. I walk over to a shelf and pick up a book I am working on, then sit back down and start reading. She picks up her book as well and continues. After a couple more hours, Y/N places the book back on the shelf and we bid our farewells to each other. I do wish she had stayed a little longer, but it is almost 1 in the morning. I decide it's time I go to sleep as well and I head to bed. (The funny thing. It is currently 12:31 a.m. while I'm writing this XD)

Now this is almost a week later. ALMOST XD

Your POV

Seeing Dr. Jekyll a few times this week has been nice, but he always seems a little more nervous when I come, I'm sure it has to do with his experiment, but he refuses to tell me the rest of the story. To clear my mind I decide to take a walk in the wonderful night air. So I take a book of mine in case I rest or want to read while walking, then I leave the house.

On 6th avenue, it's rather peaceful. Not many people are out walking, it's quiet. As I turn the corner there is no one on that street, but that isn't too unnatural, this happens all the time. I'll see someone within a minute or two.
