Well, since there isn't anything important I can think of to tell you at the moment, how about I tell you my oh-so interesting story for a start, huh?

The name's Angel. Angel Bourne. Daughter of Aquarius Bourne and Coventina Bourne, good friends of King Triton. I have a little sister named Brook. She's a good sister, mostly because she's not one of those annoying ones, but she's one of the ones that look up to you, and have your back.

I have a big brother, or had a big brother. His name was Clyde Bourne. He was a great brother. I looked up to him the way my sister looks up to me. He died, trying to protect his family.

Us.

There were pirates hunting on mermaids, one of them being my mother and me. I remember seeing these spears come shooting from the surface. If it wasn't for my brother, I'd have died from a spear to the heart. He was right in front of me, and then, it happened...

I try not to think about it. It's why I stay away from my family most of the time. They remind me too much of Clyde. Always bringing him up, and comparing me to him. That's one of the main reasons why I hang around in the surface, along with my good friend, Ariel.

Ariel's a princess, and I like to think of myself as not only her friend, but her protector. The one to watch over her. She thinks it's crazy, since I'm younger than her, but I'm only 15, turning 16 in a couple of days. Just a few months younger than her.

That's a little something about me, but I feel like I'm forgetting something. Let's see, I love food, music, exploring, I'm a mermaid, look for trouble most of the time- oh yes! I'm a mermaid!

Please, don't be like other people, and freak out by the word 'mermaid'. Not all of us are bad. I mean, yes, we eat humans, but only because we have to survive. Ariel doesn't eat humans, but I don't judge her. So what, she doesn't like human flesh. I do. A mermaid's hunger for humans is well known, yet, people still decide to freak out as soon as they're faced by our attack. You should know better when you're near a mermaid.

People fear us, I know, but we're not evil, we just eat, that's all. Some humans should really work on their people skills, am I right?
