I opened my eyes, only to find darkness once more. I had to be awake. I could hear what was around me. The footsteps on the ground, boys talking amongst themselves. Once I gained full consciousness, I noticed the horizontal position that I was in. Both my feet and hands were tied to a pole that was being carried by two Lost boys, and there was a blindfold tied around my head.

I moaned as the pain on my head returned.

"Shh... I think she's waking up."

I heard male voices all around me.

Nope, not waking up. Going back to sleep.

I had too much of a headache, and the position I was in didn't help at all. What the hell did they even hit me with, anyway?

The pole I was tied to finally stopped moving, and was set down on something high, since my back couldn't feel the ground.

"Who's this?" asked another male's voice.

This one had a sort of accent. Different from the dialects where I came from.

"She found us near Mermaid Lagoon trying to catch one of those mermaids. She wasn't okay with the idea, and attacked us. We ended up catching her instead," said a deep voice.

"Nice catch," said the one with the accent, and I could tell he was right next to me by how close he sounded.

"Cut her down," the boy ordered.

It was a wonder how they managed to cut the rope on both sides at the same time. I fell on my back with nothing stopping my fall. I coughed after I hit the ground, and rolled to the side, using my left elbow to lift myself up.

"Pan, you'll never believe it. Once she landed on Felix, her tail turned into legs," said a younger voice.

"She landed on you?" asked who I believed was 'Pan'.

Wait a minute... Was this Peter Pan? The Peter Pan whom my brother told me about? No way... guy sounds like a jerk.

"Yes, she sort of jumped out of the water, and landed on me. After that, she started threatening us," the boy named Felix explained.

"What happened to the one I told you to get?" Pan asked.

"She helped the princess get away."

There was a pause in their conversation. Slow and calm footsteps came near me, followed by the feeling of someone's breath against my face.

"Feisty one, aren't you?" Pan commented.

I slowly reached for the blindfold around my head, and pushed it above my forehead. I instantly jumped back from how close this guy was. I took the chance to study his looks.

Light brown hair and green eyes were what I could make out in the faint light. The sky was already darkening, but not dark enough for the stars to come up.

I snickered.

"Something funny?" he asked.

"You're him? The famous Peter Pan?" I asked in disbelief.

"What were you expecting? A jolly young boy with a Pan whistle?" Pan asked sarcastically.

I shook my head.

"Not even close. After all the stories I've heard I expected to see..." I looked the boy up and down. "A demon. That is what they call you, isn't it?"

"Looks like the names have caught on. What's yours?" Pan asked.

"Angel," I answered.

Pan raised his eyebrow, which I hinted as wanting more information.

"Bourne," my name was all I would give him.

Peter Pan raised both eyebrows. "Angel Bourne? Sister of Clyde?"

My heart stopped at the mention of my late brother's name. "You know him?"

"Yes, Clyde's been here before- long ago."

I heard the boys laugh in memory of my older brother.

"He's been gone for a long time now. I wonder what happened to him?" Pan asked, looking at the rest of the boys.

There was a pause before I could answer that question.

"He died... long ago."

"Well," Pan looked down, "I'm sorry."

"Yeah... me too," I said, and he looked up at me.

I could tell Pan knew my brother well, as if my brother didn't only pass by this island, but made his mark in the island as well. He must've done something to make the Lost Boys remember him. A part of me wanted to go back home, but the other part wanted to stay and find out more about Clyde being here.

"Well, Angel," Pan stood up, "welcome to Neverland."

I looked from the pole that I was tied to minutes ago, then to Pan. I argued my eyebrow. "What a pleasant welcoming."
