*Yoru's POV*
I hear wolves moving around frantically. Shizen kept asking Jack to let us out. I saw a worried look on Jack's face but I didn't know why. That is when I took a deep sniff. At first I smelled the earth, but then I smelled something I never smelled before. It was a metallic smell but there was no metal near us.
"Sir," I asked, "What is that smell?"
Jack looked at me with tears in his eyes. He just shook his head, not saying anything to us. Shizen then started biting and scratching Jack. I growled at Shizen and he backed down for a second. Then looked at me with anger in his eyes. He pounced on me and bit me on my paw.
Jack picked Shizen up by the scruff and put him at the other side of the tree. Using his paw to keep Shizen there. I saw a small gap that only my head could fit in. I looked at Jack to make sure he wasn't looking and poked my head through. I wished I never looked. What sound escaped my throat was a mixture of a whine and howl.
I dug a bigger hole and ran out to the outside world, ignoring all the wolves trying to stop me. I see Sakura carrying Luna over to the Alpha's den and I also see my mother and father bloody on the ground with an unknown wolf head and body torn apart.
I went over to my mom first, I nudged her head. When I finally rendered her dead, I went over to my dad. I did the same thing to him and rendered him dead. I got in between both of them and just laid there. Not even caring that there was blood soaking my fur. I felt my eyes pooling up with water.
I saw my brother running up to me with Jack running behind him. I saw Mark stop Jack and he had a hard look on his face. When Shizen came up to me, I just looked at mom and whimpered.
*Luna's POV*
No, no, no. They can't be dead, they can NOT be dead. Please be alive, please let this be a dream. My eyes shot back open. I was laying in my bed, in my cave. Was everything fine then? I stood up and immediately felt pain everywhere. I whimpered and fell back onto my side.
Mia ran into my cave and reassured me that I should remain lying down for the day. I shook my head and forced myself to walk out of my cave. Mia still remaining by my side just in case I fell. I see the stain of red on the ground. I looked away immediately and see Sakura, Mark and Jack carry the dead corpse of everyone who died. I stopped walking and closed my eyes. I hear pawsteps coming towards me. I open my eyes and see Alaska in front of me.
I see the look of worry on his face. He tilted his head as if telling me to come with him. He turns around and walks slowly to the pups den. It took all my strength to not cry or whimper or whine. When I reached the den, I saw Yoru and Shizen crying and shaking. Asking for their mother and father.
Alaska said to me barely above a whisper, "They still need a mother so they can have milk. Noelle and Shane don't want more pups to take care of and no one else is qualified for a pup."
"I'll take care of them," I said.
Yoru and Shizen heard me and ran over to me and buried their tiny faces in my flank. I flinched at the pain and then tried to not show that I am in pain. I looked to the side at Alaska and see that he is even more worried. Looks like he noticed me flinch.
I pulled back and put the pups on top of my back. And I walked them towards my cave. When we entered my cave, I told them where everything is.
"...here is the watering hole for when you are thirsty in the middle of the night and here is where both of you will be sleeping. If you don't like it then I can have Jack make two separate beds for you."
"I don't mind," they mumbled.
"Thank you," they said with tears in their eyes.
"If you want, you can stay here for as long as you'd like. I'll even bring food up to you," I said motheringly.
I walked out of the cave, keeping in mind that I don't hear them following me. I looked up towards the sky and see that it is going dark. I walked into the clearing and signaled everyone to follow me. I walked out the camp. If I remembered finding this place then there was a beautiful flower patch filled with ghost bluebonnets.
I instinctively knew which way to go. I was almost completely dark by the time we got there. I turned around and see Sakura and Mark carry Kaze and Shinrin. Jack started to dig a hole next to the flowers. I went a few feet next to him and started digging another hole. I tried my hardest to not cry in front of the Pack. When I think the hole is deep enough, I jumped right out, Jack not far behind.
Sakura and Mark, carefully and gently, puts their bodies into separate holes. That is when I lost it. I felt tears exiting my eyes. I closed my eyes to prevent more tears from falling out. That is when I felt another body press up against mine.
I opened my eyes, tears splashing out of my eyes and looked to my left. I see Alaska right next to me snuggling up against me for comfort. I snuggled back and closed my eyes again. I tilted my head up and let out a sad, sorrowful howl. One by one, I hear everyone howling and Sakura tried to howl but it sound more like a yowl mixed with a howl.
I open my eyes to see galaxy and hundreds of stars. I let my head down and started walking back to camp. Hearing the Pack's pawsteps behind me. I hear Jack putting the dirt back over the holes. I quickened my pace so I could just go back to sleep.
Once we arrived to camp, I just ran to my cave. When I reached the entrance, I went in as quietly as I can. I look over at the extra bed and see Yoru and Shizen sleeping in a fit. I went over to the watering hole and drank a bit. Then went to my bed and went to sleep.
