*Raven's POV*

I opened my eyes. I guess fell asleep yesterday. I stood up and walked out of the den. I heard Hotaru run up next to me and lead me to the edge of the perch.

"You sure you want to get out of the den today, you don't have to." He whispered in my ear. I listened hard and started to hear small, faint heartbeats near me.

"You know what, you're right, I just can't today." I said, my voice breaking. I turned around quickly and ran back into the cave. I went back to where the bed was and laid down. I just laid there whimpering, the fur around my eyes became watery.

*Alaska's POV*

I have been laying in the Elder's bedding awake since yesterday. I am still waiting to wake up but my hope for this to be a nightmare is quickly disappearing. I haven't accepted any food and barely drank any water. I am starting to see light grey appearing on my fur. Everytime someone comes into the den, I just tell them to leave.

I jolted my head up when I realized something. It is all his fault, if he never came here Luna wouldn't be dead. Anger filled my whole body and I jumped to my feet. I snarled and stomped over to the Pup's den. I forced myself into the den. Shadow looked up with a smirk on his face. I scratched across his face, making sure I went from ear to cheek. Blood started gushing out of his wounds.

"It's your fault!" Tears were flowing out of my eyes now. I hear heavy pawsteps running to the entrance of the den.

"Alaska, get out of the den!" It was Hotaru, he was Alpha now but I didn't care. I didn't care anymore. I feel Hotaru pull me out of the den and throw me away from it. When I opened my eyes I see Mark rushing towards the entrance of the den. He stood there strong and made sure there was no way anyone could get in. I ran back to the Elder's den and laid there, unmoving again.

*Artemis' POV*

I still can't believe mom chose Raven to be Alpha. What does she have that I don't, besides a mate?! I don't even care that she is dead because she got what she deserved. I sat on the willow tree branch, one that isn't closest to the top but not one that is closest to the bottom. I would sit up here to see if I had the werewolf instinct like Raven, so I can challenge her and win.

I smirked as I realized something. I can try to kill Raven in her sleep, she wouldn't realize something is up because she can't see. But Hotaru can so that plan is a fluke. I sat up and jumped down the branches till I was at the bottom. I see Hotaru waiting at the bottom.

"Just cause your mom is dead doesn't mean you can skip you duties as Warrior," he growled. I rolled my eyes.

"Ok mom." He pushed me to the ground.

"You are her daughter, show your mother some respect! She would have done everything to keep you alive so give her a little gratitude and don't speak ill of her!" I flinched as his teeth almost snapped on my nose. Even though I am being threatened, I still don't want him to boss me around.
