The next day
*Luna's POV*
I woke up in my bed and the first thing I see is Alaska watching me. I smiled and licked the tip of his nose. I stood up and stretched, feeling sore. I walked out of the camp. I see the Hunter's walking out of the camp's entrance. I see Hotaru and Raven walking next to each other. I smiled, glad my daughter found a nice guy and is happy. I see the Hunter's follow behind them and I don't see Mark behind them. I guess Mia still has him on orders.
I walk down the slope and hear Alaska's pawsteps behind me. I turn my head and smiled at him. I walk over to the willow tree. I perked my ears up when I heard a commotion outside of the entrance. I see Artemis dragging.... no, it shouldn't be. I growled lowly and felt like I was growing bigger. I stomped over to the entrance, still growling. The dark furred wolf looks up and has fear in his eyes.
Shadow was scared for once. He has grown skinnier and has scratch marks littered on his body. I'll just add a few more scars to that demonic body.
"Why did you come back?!" I growled, wanting to rip his throat out immediately.
He tilted his ears back and he whimpered. I smacked him onto the ground, putting one paw on top of him. I snapped my jaws in front of his face.
"Answer me!" I roared, I see everyone around me step back but I didn't care. I wanted an answer. I sunk my claws deep into his fur when he didn't answer.
"You killed my two best friends and you have the nerve to show your face to me again!"
"Luna, this isn't you."
I whipped my head to look behind me and see fear in Alaska's eyes. I look around and see fear in everyone's eyes. I pushed myself off of Shadow and tilted my ears back. I pushed past everyone and ran out of camp. I ran to the one place that no one will find me at. I ran back to an oak tree that I used to live in when I was a runaway. I learned how to climb trees from that tree. It has low hanging branches that I can jump onto. I finally arrived at the tree and started jumping onto the branches. I jumped until I found the hole in the tree that I can fit into. Once I got into the hole, I burst into tears and let out quiet whimpers.
All the memories of my grief came rushing into my head. I hear silent pawsteps coming towards the tree. I silenced my whimpers so I don't become found. I hear someone wander around the tree.
"Luna?"
It was Alaska, he followed me here. I let out a little whimper by accident. I hear him moved under the branch near the hole I am in. I forced myself to let my head out of the hole and look down. One of my tears fell out of my eyes and landed on Alaska's cheek. He looked up and his look softened.
"Come down from there... please," he said in a whimper.
I slowly crawled out of the hole and jumped back down the branches. I stayed up on the lowest branch, in fear I am going to hurt him. He tilted his head down and whimpered.
"You should come back to camp," he said silently.
I just shook my head. I longed for my sister, my twin sister. Since she is a werewolf too, maybe she can push me away from Shadow. I looked up at Alaska and he seemed to know what I wanted. I jumped down and he led me back to camp. I tilted my head down, embarrassed. I looked up ocCasionally and eventually see the camp's entrance. I looked back down quickly as I feel everyone looking at me. I continued looking down and walked up to my den. I laid down in my bedding and hoped no one will walk in besides my sister.
*Alaska's POV*
"I know you are all scared right now but she is still the same Luna that saved all your lives," I explained to everyone, seeing weary looks coming from everyone.
"She saved all of you and this is how you repay her, you are all scared of her, even though she did a lot more good than bad!" I growled, I was annoyed that everyone is scared of a good wolf.
I shook my head and looked over at Estrella. "Go over to the alliances camp and get Aqua." I commanded. "You all should be ashamed of yourselves, being scared of the best Alpha, no, the best friend you have ever gotten. She puts you all above herself, she will give up her own live for all of you!" I growled, finally getting some sense into everyone.
"She feels ashamed of herself for getting out of hand, she was heartbroken when you all looked at her with fear! She felt abandoned!" I knew I was getting louder and louder but I didn't care, I wanted everyone to know who my mate really is.
Everyone looked down at their paws and sunk their shoulders a bit. I could tell they feel ashamed now. Estrella turns around and ran out of the camp. I walked over to the Pups den and saw Mark standing guard. I nodded my head and walked in. I growled low as I see Shadow sleeping peacefully. I scratched his cheek and he woke up in a jolt. He looked up and laughed. I growled louder and scratched his other cheek. He stopped laughing, sinking his claws into the ground.
"Now answer her question, why did you come back?" I spoke low, spitting in his face.
"It was the backup plan. If Lunar died, she had a plan to kill Shizen and Kaze."
I shook my head and walked towards the entrance, then stopped. "What kind of brother causes his little sister a lifetime of misery?" I turned to him. "She is supposed to look up to you and you are supposed to protect her from bad outside world. But you brought the bad outside world to her and then, when she finally thinks that life will be better, you kill her best friends."
