Silence. Shock. Disbelief."Are you sure?" Todoroki asked uncertainly. He spoke in barely a whisper.
"Almost positive" Midoriya answered, nodding.
"This changes everything." Uraraka said quietly. Bakugou scoffed.
"As if!" He accused, standing up. "The whole reason we're in this mess is because of Deku." Uraraka glared at him, but Izuku didn't seem to be listening.
"You know what?!" She countered. "You didn't have to come here with us! You could have stayed in the dorm, saving your sorry butt from punishment!" Anger radiated off of her. Bakugou looked quite shocked, but Uraraka wasn't done yet.
"Why are you even here if you don't even care about Deku!" She pointed at Midoriya. "Look at him! He's not a monster, he's a person! With feelings and thoughts just like you! It's not his fault he got turned into a vampire!!" Uraraka stopped.
Bakugou recovered quickly. His face turning back into that frown he always wore. Kirishima stared at her in disbelief, while Todoroki was the epitome of calm. It made sense, his dad must yell at him all the time.
She turned back to Midoriya, looking for his reaction. It was like he was frozen in time.
His eyes were fixed on the door. It looked like he was barely breathing.
"Deku, what's-" Midoriya got up in a blur. His finger pressed against her lips. The message was clear; Be quiet.
He kept putting his nose in the air for some reason. Midoriya muttered something under his breath, before pulling Uraraka into a hug. His chin rested on her shoulder.
Someone was here. He knew it.
He could smell the sweet scent of blood drifting from the hallway.
He wasn't thirsty, but the smell was intoxicating. That's why he grabbed Uraraka. Her perfume hid the scent a little.
Izuku inhaled deeply, making her shiver. Kirishima took a step forward, but Todoroki stopped him.
Wait. He mouthed. Kirishima nodded, relaxing a bit.
Midoriya breathed in Uraraka's scent in once more, memorizing it.
"Someone is here." He whispered in her ear. Her eyes widened. She relayed the information to Todoroki, who seemed good at reading lips.
He nodded, his face serious. Todoroki walked out of the room, into the hallway. Midoriya winced as the scent of blood got stronger when the door was opened.
"I don't know how much longer I can keep this up." He whispered. "Do something to stop me if I go crazy." He released her. She nodded solemnly.
'Something to stop him...' Uraraka looked around. 'Something to stop him...' She looked down at her injured arm. The wound wasn't bleeding anymore.
She gasped at how stupid she was being. It was so oblivious. 'Of course! If someone is here trying to lure him to them, they must be using blood!'
Uraraka ripped off the bandage. Midoriya's eyes widened.
"What are you-" He stopped as he caught the scent of her blood. She handed the bloody bandage to him. He took it without question. Bakugou walked away in disgust.
Midoriya pressed the bandage to his nose and inhaled deeply. (I know, Tokyo Ghoul moment lol) He smiled and closed his eyes, relishing the scent. Uraraka turned to Kirishima.
"You should go follow Bakugou." She whispered. "I'll stay here with Deku." KIrishima agreed and ran to catch up with Bakugou.
Todoroki POV (bet you didn't expect that!)
The place we took refuge at was broken and abandoned. Coincidentally, it used to be the League of Villains' hideout.
I was the one who suggested it, no surprise there. It seemed as though everyone had forgotten about it.
The floors creaked with age as I walked down the hallway. It was a miracle that the place was still standing. My foot hit something as I took another step forward.
It was a small white container with a peeling label. I picked it up and shook it. The liquid inside sloshed. I kept going, still holding it. Might need it.
It wasn't long before I found the source - a ripped bag of blood - lying on the floor. It must have been stolen from the hospital.
I uncapped the container and poured out the clear liquid sparingly. Bleach. There wasn't a whole lot left, but this would help Midoriya stay in control.
I continued on. I had a feeling I was getting close.
'Let's find out who did this.'
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Of course Todoroki knows what's going on. He's super smart.
Also if you haven't seen Tokyo Ghoul yet, I 100% recommend. I loved it sooooooo much! Although it is quite dark and has plenty of gore.
Anyway, I hope your day is amazing! I'll see you all in the next chapter (hopefully).
~your dear author
P.S.- I love talking to you all in the comments! Thanks for all your support, I couldn't have gotten this far without you all! *hugs*
