"God damn these heels." Nari scowled, trying to walk down the stairs without falling. Jaemin winced as he watched her struggle, feeling as though she was about to snap her ankle.
"Here, before you break your neck." He said, offering her his hand.
She gratefully took it, her hand seemed small in comparison to his hand and Nari chuckled at it.

They were upon arriving at the hall, definitely nervous.
What were people going to say?
I mean they were just going as friends.

"I've never been to a dance before with a guy other than Renjun you know." She said, feeling her hands getting clammy so instead she wrapped her arm through his.
"Really? To be honest I've never been to a dance." He shrugged, opening the door.
Nari looked up at him and didn't even realize they had entered the room and once she looked, it was dead silent.

Not because the party was boring- it's because everyone was stood in shock looking at the two walking in.
"AY MY GAL LOOKING SEXY." Areum hollered from somewhere in the room, Mark shaking his head at the girl he was dated with.
"Everyone is staring." Nari muttered, only for Jaemin to hear and he looked down at the seemingly nervous girl.
"They're staring at you."

Nari was seated at a table with Donghyuck and Jaemin, Donghyuck's date had popped to the bathroom and the boy decided to third wheel.
In the midst of their conversation, Jisung and Chenle ran up to the girl and gushed over her.
"Wow Noona you look pretty!"
"Aw thank you guys, you look so cute!" She cooed, reaching out towards Jisung's cheek to which he slapped her hand away.

"Come sit." She motioned to the empty chairs around the table, Jisung and Chenle shared a weary look whilst looking at the Slytherins. Jaemin and Donghyuck didn't say anything, only stared at the boys, their intimidating nature making Jisung and Chenle shy.
"No it's okay." Chenle said laughing nervously.
Nari rolled her eyes and smacked Jaemin's arm, making him jolt in shock.

"Be nice." She warned, noticing his stone cold expression.
He raised his eyebrows at the girl and inhaled before turning to the boys.
"Sit." He said, trying to seem less intimidating, but he still ended up coming across as stiff.
Nari elbowed him in the side and urged him to smile.
"No, and what's your obsession with hitting me?" He bickered.

Jisung and Chenle only sat there awkwardly, Donghyuck nodding to them.
"Sup."
"I-i uh I- well I'm-"
"Chenle and Jisung." Chenle introduced, saving his best friend from embarrassment.
Donghyuck nodded cooly in return.
"I'm Donghyuck, you must be 5th year now." He acknowledged, popping a sweet into his mouth.
"Yeah..." Jisung trailed off.
"Big year huh? OWLS and all that but trust me if you're friends with Nari she'll probably tutor you." He sniggered, watching the girl's jaw drop.

"Oh shut up Hyuck I'll stab my fork into your ey-"
"Hey Nari." Renjun's voice made Nari whip around so fast it's surprising she didn't get whiplash.
"Jun! Hey where's your date?"
"Mirae, you know the girl in our potions? Yeah she's just chatting to her friends right now." Renjun explained briefly.

"You look stunning as per." He complimented, taking a seat next to her and scanning the Slytherins wearily. But he did promise he'd make an effort so he plastered a smile and greeted them.
"Hey I'm Renjun."

"Yo, I'm Donghyuck."
"Jaemin."

Renjun nodded, not knowing what to say.
"Jeno is still getting ready, so I just left him."
"Are Mark and Areum dating?" Chenle asked curious, to which Renjun nodded.
"Couple weeks now, I'm surprised we didn't know."
"Speak of the devil."

Nari turned around to see Jeno and Mark walking towards them, exchanging inaudible words as they caught sight of the cousins.
"Hey guys." Jeno said, walking over and giving a short hug to Nari.
"That's a nice dress."
"Thank you."
Jeno and Mark both sat down and now all the seats were full.

"Mark."
"Donghyuck."

They both eyes each other up, but didn't make a move to start their feud. Nari smiled at all her friends in one place, feeling happy that they were all together without killing each other.

"It's weird seeing everyone dressed up." Renjun commented and Nari nodded
"Everyone looks good though."
"Thanks Nari." Donghyuck winked to which Nari have a disgusted look at.
"Wasn't talking about you."
"Yeah right-"
"Mark, let's dance." The voice of Areum cut in, her smile wide. She then spotted Nari and gasped loudly.
"Babe, you look hot."

"Girl you literally saw me before anyone."
Areum laughed and dragged her boyfriend up to the dance floor.
"I should probably go grab my date for a dance." Donghyuck said and left to find her.
And one by one everyone left the table, except from Jaemin and Nari.

"Come on Pretty eyes, let's dance."
