It was nightfall as Nari sat in the spacious, enchanted tent. There layed a scared and sleeping Jisung who whimpered throughout his dreamfilled slumber- or was it a nightmare? She wasn't too sure anymore.
The chair beside his bed was occupied by the girl and she stared bleakly into the distance, mind a void of thoughts. Her hand stroked through Jisung's hair once in a while, calming him down slightly- his hands clutching the covers.
"You know..." She began quietly, looking at his youthful figure, sighing. "I wish I was like you...new to all the bad things that involve being a wizard- sometimes I wish I was a Muggle...I don't know if you've seen the way they live."
"Me and Renjun used to explore their world, we thought we were right rebels- let's be real we were pretty insignificant...but we felt like the only two people in the worl-"
A crash from another part of the tent made the girl jump slightly, her head turned towards the curtain blocking her view. Tentatively, she looked down at the young boy before carefully walking towards the curtain, drawing them open.
The boy she had just been talking about stood in the kitchen area, bent over with his arm still in a sling. He picked up the discarded jar that had most likely fell.
Nari watched silently and remembered that Jeno and Chenle had gone off to sleep whilst Mark was on watch out duty. There was a groan of frustration that escaped Renjun's lips and he slammed the jar down after countless attempts of opening it.
He sighed deeply and closed his eyes, throwing his head back. Renjun was unaware of the feet pattering against the floor and her figure coming closer. She hasn't made herself known as she took the jar from the countertop. The sound of the jar moving took him by surprise and he opened his eyes to see Nari opening the jar.
"You don't have to." He said, turning his body towards her and watching as she didn't reply, but instead began heating the stove up. Her facial expression gave nothing away and the silence fell over them.
"Does it hurt?" She asked finally, stirring the pot but not creating eye contact. "I'm fine." He replied quietly, his eyes looking towards the floor.
She said no more, turning the stove off and allowing it to cool as she got out a plate. "Aren't you eating?" He asked confused, pushing himself off the counter. Nari shook her head briefly, putting the food into the bowl and onto the table. Followed by a glass of water and she looked at him once more.
"Make sure you see if Mark is okay before you go to slee-" "Wait." Renjun interrupted, stopping the girl in her steps. She turned her head towards him. "Hm?" "Are you mad at me?" "For what?" She asked, turning her attention towards him.
Renjun shrugged and pointed to his shoulder. "We can't apparate because of me and I know everyone is having a hard time but- what are you doing?"
Renjun's eyes widened as she walked towards him and her fingers tugged the material of his jacket. He panicked, heart rate increasing and mouth dry. "I-i." "Take it off." "B-but i- Nari-" "Just take it off." "Y-you-"
Nari blinked at the boy as his cheeks began to heat up and she bit down a smile. "I need to change your bandage."
"Oh." He said, averting his eyes and gulping down his embarrassment. Nari smiled at him whilst he wasn't looking, watching as he took off his jacket and pulled down the shoulder of his t-shirt- allowing her to mend him.

"Weren't you the one who tried to befriend the ducks at the pond?" "In my defense-" Renjun was cut off by bubbling of laughter from Nari, the melodious sound filling the air with happiness.
"Hey, it's not funny!" He pouted, huffing and crossing his arms over his chest. They both retreated to the sofa, she sat with her legs tucked under her, next to Renjun.
"Aww, don't be upset you little baby." She teasingly cooed, pinching his cheeks jokingly. Renjun turned his head in the midst of her teasing him, her smile wide.
Their eyes met and they truly became aware of each others presence, the space between them feeling restricted as their gazed melted between each other.
